When Buying Website Traffic Will Break The Bank

break

If you’re new to building a business online, or have recently bought a $97 clickbank course on media buying and decided to throw a few gold coins into the advertising kitty, this article might just save you a small fortune and a lot of time (and misery).

Take note…

buying traffic from advertising networks is a complicated business. Turning a profit with that same traffic is proving to be close to impossible for the average online business owner.

I know…you’re NOT the average business owner!

Let’s break this down into small, easy-to-digest pieces to take the mystery out of media buying and make your life a little easier…and (hopefully) a lot more profitable.

About Ad Networks

Ad Networks are set up in such a way that they are able to offer advertising to clients either exclusively (offering a sales mechanism to a single, stand-alone client operating in one particular niche) or to a group of advertisers who are doing business in the same sector online.

The networks sell what’s referred to as inventory – advertising space on a website or group of websites across their network of partner sites. Google is the largest and best known advertising network using the AdSense platform for publishers who want to earn money from visitors who click the ads on their website.

Ad networks sell traffic, for the most part, in two ways – CPM (per page impressions/per 1,000) and CPC (cost per click).

This means that you (the advertiser) are paying either every time the page loads (CPM) or whenever your ad creative (banner or text) is clicked on. This may look like a straight forward choice to start with but it isn’t. A hungry business owner could find themselves easily confused and quickly swallowed up if they make the wrong choice and select the wrong type of traffic on the wrong ad network. CPC may seem to be the right approach (you know what the cost of the click will be, right?) but this isn’t always the case. A good ad creative, placed in the right position on the right website can provide a much better return on investment.

Here’s how it works…

Larger advertising networks use an auction based bidding system like Google’s, where the highest bidder is rewarded with the impression immediately after a website visitor clicks a link on a partner website. This happens in a tiny fraction of a second and provides the advertiser with the exact traffic they want at a price they’re willing to pay the ad network. The ad network pay a portion of the advertising fee (the cost of the click or the impression) to the website owner and everyone is happy. In theory at least. 😉

As an advertiser, you are bidding or agreeing to pay the network a fee based on the value that visitor will deliver.

What does this mean for you and your business?

When you bid or agree to pay a certain amount for traffic (CPC or CPM) you MUST know the visitor value of your website or you’ll be dead in the water.

Here are four questions you need to ask before buying traffic:

  1. How much money can you afford to spend to get a visitor to your website?
  2. How many leads will your website produce for every 100 visitors?
  3. How many people will you need to get on your subscriber list to make a sale?
  4. How many sales will you make on average from each of your customers?

Buying website traffic will break the bank…

if you don’t know the answer to these questions.

Want to keep your little piggy-bank intact? Want to eliminate both the learning curve and the stress? Then book a Done-For-You-Traffic Consultation today and leave all the question (and the nasty details) to us!

What’s it worth to ya?

Page May Have Missing Text

Something really got me laughing the other day.

See my friend joined us for an investor meeting, but he’s not much of business guy. In fact, he was a bit out of place an as aircraft engineer amongst the more experienced investors; one of them being my dad.

So as the meeting progressed one thing was clear: nobody liked the asking price of this particular business takeover.

Most of the business’ price was under that all-elusive term ‘good-will’…

and in the heated price negotiation, I observed a conversation between my friend and my dad:

“I don’t understand, what is the actual price of this business?” my friend asked.

He wasn’t happy with my dad’s answer: “That depends on what we value it to be.”

But the poor guy still didn’t get it. He wanted something more concrete so he thought of an example to put his point across.

“I don’t see the big deal. For example, how much would you pay for a single Rolls Royce Turbo Fan Aircraft Engine?”

“hmm, I’d pay 6,000” my dad replied.

“Try 160,000!” my friend smirked. “You see? You have to know the industry, then you can put a better figure on it.”

I could see what he was tying to say. Value needs a frame of reference and depends on comparison right?  Otherwise we’d have no clue what the value of something was, like ‘real estate’ for example.

A valid point. But I think my dad’s response was even more acute:

“Perhaps…but I don’t really want a fan engine.”

And that’s all business is isn’t it?

At the end of the day what do you value and how much would you pay for it?

Well if you value the influx of traffic YaghiLabs can get you, then you can’t put a price on the DFYT package we offer.

How much do you value the time you’d spend figuring out, training yourself, and then keeping up with the latest search engine trends?

If you are really honest about how much you value these things, you’ll be surprised at the price of our services!

Hundreds of Clicks By LOWERING your CTR!

Dear Friend…haha,

Don’t ya love sales letters that start this way. Like I totally believe you buddy, we’re friends. Okiedokes.

Whatever. Anyway, I just stepped away from the hard-work of bossing the YaghiLabs team around as we build traffic campaigns for 8 different client-projects still in progress. And I wanted to share with you a little ad writing tip nobody ever taught me.

Why does no one else teach this?

Because the clueless Gooroos are too busy teaching how to write ads that get a HIGH click-thru-rate.

Which is stupid on Pay-Per-Click platforms.

An ad that gets a high click-thru-rate is an ad that COSTS a lot of money.

And hey any idiot can write an ad that gets clicked a lot. Here check this out, I’m an idiot

Gooroo look at the ads I wrote:

Free Sex For You
Get Free Sex Here. All positions For $0. Click to start sexing now!

Or how about,

Free Money
Just write your Paypal address, and we’ll send you  $1Mil of free money now.

Yeah, I bet the click-thru rate on those goes through the roof. But chances are the ads will just cost a fortune and make no money, especially if what I offer is free.

Ok so it’s not that straight-forward.

Because Mr. Gooroo tells you to super-target your audience by the keywords they search for. Then split-test one ad against another until you find the copy that gets the highest number of clicks per 100 views.

But the whole concept is backwards in their silly little minds!

The idea being you should LIMIT the pool of people who see your ads and then try to get as many of those people to click as possible. That’s a recipe for LITTLE traffic.

Especially that ad VIEWS (which you’re limiting by “targeting”)  cost nothing on PPC, whereas CLICKS COST! And you still gamble the clicker decides not to follow through.

Why not do this:

Show your ads to ALL the people in your target audience–after all, impressions are free on Pay-Per-Click.

And then write an ad that REPELS clicks from everyone but the people likely to BUY.

Something like:

Hard Work Here
We’ll show you how to work hard and make MILLIONS in the process. $20k to sign up!

I’m sure a bunch of curious people will click the ad. But most people who aren’t willing to work hard or spend 20k will be turned off by the ad.

But since the pool of people seeing your ad is in the range of 1.5Mil per day, you’ll get hundreds of genuine and responsive people to click.

That’s our formula for getting HUNDREDS of targeted clicks and much traffic every day for our clients. Makes way more sense.

The secret is to target 100’s of thousands of keywords…and to write ads that repel clicks.
You don’t even have to LEARN to do this part. We do it  FOR YOU much better than you can by following Mr. Clueless Gooroo.

Here’s the link to sign up for one of our custom ppc campaigns now!

Practice makes perfect…right?

What’s the difference between sports and business?

I’ve found that when it comes to success, there’s isn’t much difference between the two.

On that note, I’ve got an ass-kicking experience to share with you today…

You see, back in my athletic prime, (hey come on, it wasn’t THAT long ago) I was a very active practitioner of Taekwondo.

For those who don’t know about this Korean martial art, it’s an accepted Olympic sport that emphasizes fast, high kicks and flashy footwork.

Anyway, when I first started 10 years ago I had a real knack for the sport. I pounced on it and practiced my kicks every day religiously, for MONTHS.

After a while, there were very few people who could even hold the pad against me during training. Thousands of kicks later I believed I had perfected them.

Or so I thought…

The problem was when it came down to actually testing my well-versed kicks in sparring with my seniors, it was clear that I was not good enough.

I had to get faster somehow. So I fine-tuned my techniques, over and over again, researched outside the scope of my class, studied different marital arts, even bought extra books trying to find secret ways to get faster and stronger.

But when I began to spar again, all that extra work still didn’t help!

Now I was really stumped. I had no idea why my practice wasn’t paying off in the ring. I was even faster and stronger than some of my seniors, but my kicks still weren’t landing.

Do you ever feel like that when trying to get your business off the ground?

You’ve got a great product, so why isn’t it selling?

You do things over and over again and get great results one day, then mediocre results the next?

Well wait for the kicker (pun intended)…

It was only with a LOT more experience that I realized:

It’s the ability to adapt to your opponent that makes all the difference.

Not just slamming away with technique after technique mindlessly.  But using them at the right time and place. Either offensively or defensively. As a feint or a follow-up.  In combination or reaction.

There was no way I could figure all this out just by practicing day after day. But as experience came, so did my competition winnings.

Yep, sorry to all the gooroo fan boys who follow whatever system their respective internet marketing liege-lords consider the end-all solution; but it’s true. There’s never a single solution that applies to everything in REAL business.

When I gained more experience and was able to adapt to my opponent’s weaknesses, ONLY THEN did all my practice pay off.

In fact we understand this idea so well that it’s what our Done-For-Your-Traffic consultations are famous for.

I’ll be amazed if you’re NOT surprised at how deep we tailor your campaigns to your audience.

How one-eyed men taught me basketball…

I love basketball.

I mean, I REALLY love basketball.

I can’t understand anyone who says they don’t like it. I just stand there in shock until somebody shakes me.  😉

Having said that, I used to be pretty uncoordinated, and in basketball that’s not exactly a plus. But I love the rush of playing. It didn’t take much to play every single day in high school – with friends who felt the same way.

We worked hard, loved what we were doing, ignored the ‘haters’, and pushed on till we became pretty good.

(Sorry if you were expecting a glorious ending…we didn’t go on to win any championships or anything!)

You see, I lived in Malaysia back then and basketball was greatly overshadowed by soccer. We had to find our own matches, hustle the school office just to get uniforms, and at the end of the day we didn’t get much recognition.

More importantly, we had to get pretty creative about how we trained. We didn’t get funding for a coach, so we had to coach each other.

Problem was, there were only a few players who knew how to play well. To the rest of us, they were basketball MASTERS.

Remember the old saying:

“In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is KING”

Well, as beginners to the game, our frame of reference was so limited that we considered their skills to be WAY up there.

They could get past the rest of us so easily that we were convinced that ‘magic’ was involved.

The ONE guy who could dunk? He was DEFINITELY on his way to becoming an NBA superstar!

The crappy neighbouring schools we faced had nothing on us; with him on our side.

But we were obviously “blind”!

We had no idea how good other people could be outside our small circle of influence.

Later on, when I moved out of Malaysia and experienced players in other countries, I realised how silly we were…

and how this same lesson can be applied to online business.

Literally SCORES of people trying to work from home are throwing themselves at master goo-roos and trusting anyone that knows a bit more than they do.

Of course, some photo-shopped clickbank figures, and a few fake testimonials, help seal the deal for any newbies on the court.

I feel so sorry for the poor suckers who don’t know any better!

Here at YaghiLabs, we’re years ahead in this game.

While others are just starting to figure out the basics of traffic and lead generation, and trying to pass themselves off as hot shots…

we’ve actually been through it all, and delivered incredible results, to hundreds of clients. We’ve ascended to the highest levels and have some of the best in the business working for us behind the scenes.

Want to experience the difference between newbinity and expertise?

Opinions Are Like A******s…everyone’s got one!

Hey big shot. 😉

Seems like yesterday’s email hit a sore button for many MLM defenders.

One funny guy said on Facebook, “I always like to give my opinion: All the alternatives for passive income you gave as examples require a large investment which few people can afford. MLM is the ONLY way to get passive income that ANYONE can afford.”

LOL

My response:

“Opinions are like assholes…everyone’s got one.”

Haha…difference is when you have traffic and a mailing list thousands will hear your opinion. His will go unheard.

So at the risk of sounding politically correct, allow me to share my view.

The point of yesterday’s email was not to rag on MLM…

Please make no mistake about it though, I THINK MLM IS NOT A BUSINESS IN THE FIRST PLACE. But hey I don’t mind getting traffic for clients who want to build a MLM. It’s their choice what to do with the traffic I send them.

But I digress…

The point that MLM is the ONLY passive income anyone can get is stupid.

Many of the examples I gave yesterday required NO sign-up fee and little investment. Whereas MLM DOES require a sign up fee.

Also, in my examples, any money you invest goes toward buying something useful that works. Whereas, the sign up fee you pay to join a MLM is just to get products that you’ll probably store in your garage or consume yourself without any business use.

Unless you join an ONLINE mlm, in which case you buy the right to market someone else’s system. Still, you don’t buy a passive income.

Furthermore, the point I made yesterday was that there are other passive income alternatives that have a HIGHER SUCCESS rate than MLM. Just because it’s something “anyone can afford”, doesn’t mean it’s a winning investment.

I’d BORROW the money to invest in a business I had a good chance of succeeding with ANY DAY over putting in $1 into something I’d most likely fail at.

But still, that’s not all I said.

I said that people who want MLM for its passive income have:

No money

No skills

And don’t want to do any work

No matter what the business model, passive income will require AT LEAST one of the above.

So even if you have no money and no skills and you believe MLM is the ONLY way to get a passive income, you better be prepared to make up for your lack of money and skills with 100 times as much work.

On the other hand, if you have a little money with no skills but you’re willing to do a little work, then you can put your money to work:

Pay for advertising (PPC)…and…outsource what you don’t have the skills to do!

When you get our Done-For-You Traffic Consultation, we build a traffic campaign for you AND give you the option to run it on your behalf for a TINY monthly fee (<$100).

Why Landing Pages Will NEVER get Traffic!

Hey WHATSUPPPP!!

Here’s a big one…even the gooroos don’t get.

They want traffic so desperately badly, but they’re living in 1996 when the web was SIMPLE.

Let’s throw together a landing page and dump some PPC traffic on it. YAY!

It actually bugs the shit out of me and I hate doing work for Gooroos because they can’t get this SIMPLE LITTLE FACT.

The web has EVOLVED. Today, search engines are BUSINESSES.

And they are in the business of sorting through the BILLIONS of useless websites on the Internet to give the best, most useful, most relevant results to their searchers.

And NO, they’re not going to send it to your PIECE OF SHIT squeeze page so you can just collect private contact information from their searchers with the rest of your business a big fat question mark.

We live in an age where information is ABUNDANT and readily available. And if one website won’t willingly disclose the top secret locked away information it has, then the user will go elsewhere.

Like forums, social networks, and communities where people willingly share and give up information without expecting a thing in return.

In fact, if you think you’re going to just throw up a landing page and suddenly have traffic, you’re asking to be batched together with all the scams out there.

A squeeze page is a WEB FRONT, not a WEB BUSINESS.

It’s a SHELL. You would NEVER do business with a company that has just an office shell, a virtual office they rent for $200/month…because for all you know, they’re here today, gone tomorrow.

Customers spend money with businesses that are here to stay.

Businesses that invest in their websites as assets that they could NEVER abandon just because Google decided to ban them or they got bored of maintaining their website.

It’s called CUSTOMER SUPPORT people.

You’re there BEFORE the sale and FOREVER after the sale.

Something your Gooroo “false gods” don’t know the first thing about.

At YaghiLabs we BELIEVE in customer support!

That’s why, when we found that customers of our Done-For-You Traffic Consultations needed MORE help after the sale, we went and actually put together an entire support staff JUST to ensure they can make full use of the campaigns we build them.

And one more thing, my young padawan…

When you get a Done-For-You Traffic Consultation, I’m going to FIGHT YOU on this point…

You’re going to resist maintaining a website that is a RESOURCE. That people will keep coming back to over and over again, regardless of whether or not they optin to your mailing list…

Not only that, we’ll give you a strategy to KEEP building your website’s content so it grows and grows and keeps getting free SEO traffic from TENS OF THOUSANDS of keywords.

And there’s ONLY one way to get that kind of help:

1,800,000 impressions in 15 minutes

Hey there,

It’s been rough getting back into my routine since returning from travel. Lots to catch up on, including back-logged work, a LOT of missed sleep, and being under the weather.

In any case, I wanted to share with you a little traffic insight today. This came up while reviewing a campaign for a traffic client we manage…

I think one of the biggest hold ups entrepreneurs have when starting their business is that they try to do too much preparation before getting started.

The Gooroos who are interested in selling lots of information products over-complicate things to the point there’s too much to consume all at once. And it’s a total time-suck.

Starting your traffic is simple…

You have a product to sell, you bring people to your site, then you start selling it.

So everyone gets really caught up in the details of getting it perfect…like setting up their website, then writing a landing page with killer copy, a sales letter, an email sequence, and then super-dooper targeting of keywords and a gazillion ad split-tests. TOO COMPLICATED!

Bah!!! Makes my head spin.

Pro’s don’t do it like this. Here’s what we do:

We start out by getting a bunch of keywords that our audience is searching for. Lots of them. AND I MEAN LOTS!

We write 4 ads, each with a drastically different angle on the offer. Solutions for different problems.

Then we run the campaign with minimal tinkering. We are up and running in hours.

Where we see desirable results, we expand on them.

Let me give you a quick example we worked on today…

One lady we built a campaign for as part of a DFYT consultation had nearly 100,000 keywords and 4 ads.

After 9 days, we found she was receiving 1.5 million impressions on ONE keyword.

We could have wasted our time creating landing pages for each keyword and special ads to match each. But we didn’t.

The adgroup that was producing all these impressions was providing 1,800 clicks…more than enough traffic to refine.

Best part is, the keyword that was getting all the impressions was a variation on what would have been an EXTREMELY expensive keyword. We got TONS of visits from the SAME audience for a fraction of the cost!

Next, we identified the ad pulling best, killed the other ad angles for that ONE adgroup, and wrote a fresh ad based on the winning one–with one key difference:

The headline was directly correlated with the keyword that got the result…

The rest of the adgroups we left untouched until a later date if they showed promise.

Like this, we immediately amplified where we were already getting results. We increased the effectiveness of the impressions with the better-correlating ad, and as a result we hope for many more conversions. The entire thing took 15 minutes.

On the other hand, we might have wasted DAYS writing and split-testing ads for keywords that were never going to get many impressions unless we bid several dollars a click.

This is why you need us to build your traffic campaigns…

The Done-For-You Traffic service is what we call it. It’s super-affordable and gives you IMMEDIATE traffic at the lowest possible cost to you.

Why Your Landing Page Bribe Gets Fake Leads and Destroys Sales Daily

Page May Have Missing Text

The dumb notion of a BRIBE on your landing page when building a mailing list.

A bribe is meant to be some “freebie” you offer a visitor to your site in exchange for their email address.

The idea being, if what you offer is valuable (yet free), the visitor will happily drop their email address for it.

STUPID!

Sorry I just flushed down the toilet your last few months spent authoring “Super Cool Traffic Nitwits 2.0 Money Control List Buggery Free eBook Bribe”.

Look, let’s admit this outright:

– You want someone’s email so you can sell to them.

– You could care less if they read your eBook.

– You only need their email address to follow-up and sell stuff. Because I know and you know, if you send peeps straight to the order page sales don’t happen.

But look at it from the prospect’s point of view…

If you’re such a kind Samaritan, why can’t you just give a direct download link to your fabulous book?

(and btw, if in fact your eBook IS your sales pitch, then please go ahead and make a landing page with nothing but a straight download link to your crappy ebook. Please. Many more people will download and read your sales pitch this way.)

Here’s what makes more sense. Pay close attention:

Your newsletter IS your bribe!

Call to action:

“Drop your email in the box below to receive weekly traffic tips by email…”

WATCH YOUR OPTIN RATE SKY-ROCKET!

Bribe? waste of time. You don’t want that. It’s nothing more than an invitation for fake addresses entered by curious prospects just so they can advance to the next step of receiving the promised freebie.

Worse. Later, when they receive email from you, they’re irritated!!

Why are you emailing me asshole? they think…

The text I shared above, it places value on your EMAILS.

It’s where you want attention.

If they want free sh–I mean stuff, they MUST understand it’s gonna be dripped over time in a newsletter that sells shyt.

Now THAT’s the way to make sales!

Is there a place for a bribe then?

Yes. It can SIGNIFICANTLY improve your optin rate further…when used correctly. But the approach is delicate and only to be used by professionals.

Like us. We’ve mastered the art of creating landing pages that SUCK leads from ice cold search traffic.

Landing pages we build for you keep attention on the inbox. Your high converting landing page starts here

Traffic Secret: I know what you did last Private!

Hehe, Funny story…

Couple years ago, I was instructor at a closed mastermind in Pasadena, California.

I addressed the room:

“Suppose you were on Google searching for, I dunno…say, ‘gay porn’…and you saw this ad…”

(Members in attendance: a pastor, a Mormon, 2 seniors, a few ladies…)

Me? Unworried. I couldn’t care less. The example wasn’t to make them laugh. I’m not a clown.

There was an important point to be made.

The reaction was mixed giggles. Except one side of the room, where the youngest, most “hip” group sat–they had bewildered, mostly confused looks and I could not understand the reaction.

Session ended well after midnight. All of us starving, beaten, and tired…we socialized with the group and THAT was the first time I became embarrassed.

I was told that TWO of the members of the “hip” younger group were gay!

Before I tell you what happened next, let me get to the point of this message…

The lesson I shared in that “embarrassing” example was an important traffic tip.

People are MULTI-DIMENSIONAL. They are, after all, people…not keywords, as most marketers like to believe.

Take you, for instance:

You’re a marketer and you care about leads, traffic, conversion, business ops, and affiliate programs.

But are ALL your searches about these topics?

I mean, what YOU type at the search box could be ALL KINDS of stuff. Yes, even triple-x sites and odd fetishes, 2 girls and a cup, jap eel-eating, and all that. C’mon, these are amongst the top uses for the Internet!

Picture this…

While you’re browsing your strange websites in private you see an ad about a way to fill your business (not your cup) with traffic, and it catches your attention…wouldn’t you click it?

Point made?

You have LOTS of interests, besides your “this minute” interest.

And you’re more likely to buy from my traffic ad while looking at naughty stuff than you would from all those free weirdo video sites you look at, ya freak.

That’s one of the secrets I use to set lead-getting records.

It’s all in how we write our ads. And you can get us to write traffic-impaling ads for you here.

Oh yah, about the two students in my story…

There was no need for ME to be embarrassed. Apparently, the reason for the strange looks they gave me was…

In the back of the room, one of them was showing the others porn (of the gay variety) at the EXACT moment I made my example! They thought they were busted! haha

Talk about a case in point. 🙂

Hey there,

Almost didn’t write this post today.

But kept thinking about you in the shower. You eager beaver looking for tips from me on a Sunday and me sleeping in till 5pm. You DO deserve an advantage. And here it is:

Few days ago, a Facebook discussion started when a friend of mine posted an excited update announcing he was about to begin an AdWords Certification in Chinese at one of the local Google Training Centers.

“Good on ya mate”, I thought to myself. But then I got pissed off!

Not at him. He’s cool. But at the response he got from one of his friends.

*reading in a numbskull douchebag accent*:

“They won’t teach you the RIGHT way there, they’ll just teach you what Google wants you to believe.”

W-T-F? OMG stfu! Blithering idiot. !@^$%!!!

Pause…

Breathe…

Let’s dissect:

So what he’s saying is Google wants to teach their customers how to use their advertising platform WRONGLY so they can sell their ideology? I don’t get it.

It’s exactly what is wrong in this industry you’re studying. Stupid remarks like this being propagated without so much as a thought, from one school drop-out to the other– like gossip, but with the holiness of gospel.

How come all the gooroos who thought they were smarter than Google and were teaching and propagating this exact statement are today permanently banned!?

I mean, if they understood so well how to use Adwords, better than Google (who invented it by the way), wouldn’t they still be generating gangs and bangs of leads today?

This whole thing would have been forgivable if the guy making the remark was some silly half-witted newbie, reading an old copy of the traffic bible. Except he was a PPC GOOROO, self-proclaimed expert who said this dribble.

You know what my claim to fame is?

Why the Gooroos keep begging me to manage their traffic even though I tell them the only use for their products is in the toilet, as a substitute for No-Frills toilet-paper?

I set a record in this industry of generating to ONE offer with a SINGLE Google campaign 1,000 leads every day for 30 days straight. I did this during one of the biggest Google Slaps of the time

…and then I repeated this record again during one of the BIGGEST Google Bans known to mankind, two years later.

The first time I set the record, I did it without being Google Certified.

But the second time it was ONLY after I took the Google Certification exam…and I studied the training for weeks on end.

Because I refused to use my account until I knew exactly how to keep it safe. And it paid off big time. I’m still standing, still generating leads on Google, still kicking ass and taking names.

By the way, the Google Certification training is COMPLETELY FREE and it was more useful than any Gooroo course I ever bought.

It’s publicly available and accessible. The test costs something like $50 but the training costs NOTHING.

And…there’s no hype, testimonials, or sales pitch to buy a second “upsell” training.

It is full of case studies. Examples. And it is EXTREMELY accurate and thorough.

Yet people choose to spend thousands on products created by Gooroos who have NEVER been through the free Google training.

If you were impressed with my record, then think about this…

Google generates MILLIONS of leads. And billions of dollars with their advertising.

What Do Leads and Green Acid Reflux Have In Common?

Here’s a pattern that always makes me laugh

Whenever I hear from people whose language is OVERLY focused on getting leads, I usually can guess correctly they’ve been banned from Google Advertising.

Let me tell you a quick story…

Few years ago, I had an uncomfortable acid reflux problem along with recurring headaches. And as I mentioned yesterday, I used to eat gobs of inexperienced marketers…so I kept burping up arms covered in green stomach fluids. 😉

It got to the point where part of my weekly shopping was a pack of Zantac max strength, 2 bottles of Gaviscon, and head pain meds (Codeine, Ibuprofen).

One of my friends had the same problem, about that time too.

Two years later, I’m pain free AND drug-free…

I ran into him recently and thought to inquire about his acid reflux problem.

“A few days ago,” he said, “I finally found a solution:

“A mouthful of Gaviscon a few minutes before eating greasy food and I sleep like a baby.”

I didn’t have the heart to tell him. I tried that already – after a few weeks, my stomach built up a tolerance. And I knew he’d soon need a stronger, more frequent remedy.

My friend treated and temporarily cured his SYMPTOM: Heartburn. A medicine treats it.

Marketers treat and temporarily cure THEIR symptom too: No Leads. A new “lead supplier” treats it – temporarily.

Google kicked them off, now they’re @ Facebook. Now they’re @ Bing. Now they’re at @ social media.

As each platform rejects them, they move to the next and the next.

That’s why ALL your favourite Marketing Systems and their Gurus are completely banned from lead supplying engines.

But YaghiLabs is STILL standing…on GOOGLE. Why?

Back to my story…

Here’s how I treated acid-reflux and headaches.

I changed lifestyle.

Today, a majority of my meals consist of at least 7 DIFFERENT vegetables. Sometimes raw, sometimes cooked. I don’t LOVE all the vegetables I eat, but my family are always experimenting with new ways to make them taste more interesting.

I eat much less bread, rice, and pasta, but I still get to eat them.

And even if I have a greasy or acidic meal from time to time, I have no bad reaction whatsoever.

Most of my health problems disappeared because I treated them from their source: A Bad diet caused my health problems.

I replaced it with a good diet and my health problems disappeared by themselves.

If your business is NOT getting leads, then this is a SYMPTOM of a deeper underlying problem.

You sell a “Get Rich Quick Scheme”.

SHhhhhhhhh!! Don’t even try to deny it. See for yourself…

– You CALL yourself a “Marketer”.

– You don’t REALLY sell a physical product or service of your own.

– You sell a “vehicle” toward a dream.

– You sell a dream of having lots of BUCKS.

– You sell a dream of making big moolah in underwear like a lazy person.

– You claim to know how to get $$ easier, faster, better than with anything else.

– Your whole business is about quick making of money.

Know what the worst part is?

You don’t have the same cares of a real business owner:

e.g., High product value, increased sales, and increased response to advertising.

Nope. You just want Google to give you phone numbers so you can bait them into your annoying “opportunity”.

You don’t want a website.

You don’t want to create content.

You don’t want to create products.

You’re like my friend with the Gaviscon solution. Wanting to keep eating the same way but not wanting the problems associated with it.

You’re looking for the next medicine that gives you leads with LEAST change to what you’re already doing.

The only REAL solution is to quit selling dreams of quick riches.

And I can help you solve your “lead” problems for GOOD.

Just schedule a consultation with me.

Best part is, I can show you how to do it with the LEAST change to what you’re already doing… http://jimyaghi.com/traffic

And that’s a fact. Come on and get started.

What? An extra $1,500 in “free” PPC Advertising?

Top of the Mornin to Ya,

A feller wrote in yesterday with a question I’ve answered often. Here it is:

*clearing throat* (reading in Irish accent):

====================================================

 “Hey Jim,

I just got through reading the offer on this page:

http://jimyaghi.com/about-jim-yaghi/consult-me

I’ve got an offer that’s converted from my email list, and I’m sure it would convert with some good PPC traffic – that’s where I need your help.

I think the done for me would be the way to go.

I have no problem with the $2k,

After all, I just finished reading your article in Ben’s newsletter.

How much of a budget for PPC would I need in addition to the $2k?

And…

Would you consider breaking it in two monthly payments of $1k each?”

======================================================

Ok, he probably didn’t say it in an Irish accent, that was just added for dramatic effect. Anyway, onto the…

Answer:

If you’ve never done PPC before, I suggest you set aside a budget you can afford to lose if you had to.

Think about it like this:

“If I made no sales from my traffic for 6 months, how much money would I be able to comfortably spend for 6 months straight with no return?”

You may get a return much sooner than that, but the biggest mistake is to dump your entire budget into one month (or day) of advertising and then sit around twiddling your thumbs with no money left over. Better to pace yourself.

Your number could be like $200/month if that’s what you can afford. If it’s less, that’s fine. If it’s more, better!

The advantage of having a bigger ad budget is in how quickly you can test the market and what it responds to. Smaller budget is just slower at testing, still works but.

Don’t do PPC without a budget.

I suggest going to work, picking up a second shift if you gotta, and save up to a target budget before you start playing.

Next Question…can you pay in installments?

‘ang on a Tick.

So, a couple of days ago, I went on a tirade at a guy who got all antsy after 3 days of starting a DFYT (I’m Not Your Employee!).

In that post, I might have made the DFYT Option #1 sound really mouth-watering and like your Internet livelihood depended on it (sorry!).

But the truth is we’re backlogged and not in a rush for new clients.

So if you can’t afford to do the Option #1 consultation in one shot, don’t.

A better way, which is much quicker for you and us, is the Option #2 consultation @ $497.

It’s scheduled within the week.

It takes 2 hours.

It’s delivered entirely on the phone.

And what you can do is, ask for a step-by-step walk-thru of setting up the traffic for your specific offer!

A few smarty-pants already asked me to do this with them. We completed seed-keyword research, targeting, worked out the conversion process, specific landing page copy, and even basic ad copy angles they could run with.

Pretty useful use of their time!

This way, you can save the remaining $1,500 you were planning to pay us for Option #1 and use that for your ad budget!

As the Irish say, “Free mooney”. lolz.

Read more about Option #2 here:

And if you find yourself still tempted to do Option #1 in instalments, email me back and we’ll try to work something out.

Unlucky…

Dear Unlucky Marketer (hehe!),

Ok. We shouldn’t laugh.

Nothing funny about feeling unlucky. But maybe today’s little “message in a bottle” will bring some hope for the unfortunate.

Not long ago, a feller wrote to me asking for some really specific help about getting traffic.

“You know how sometimes you think you’re doing everything RIGHT but then there’s this one thing you want someone to show you?”

Well, that’s the impression I got when I saw the start of his letter.

He went on to explain that he had spent a lot of money, written piles and piles of articles, done lots of SEOs and link-backs, but still…

Visitors arrive in trickles.

Mailing list leads limp along slower than the line at KFC.

And sales almost never ever come.

Clearly something was wrong. But what?

I saw it right away…

In professional sports (football, rugby, etc), the coaches like to record matches and watch them back with their teams after a game.

Reason is, during the live match, the players are too close to the game to notice their blunders.

(which btw, seem REAAAAaaaaalllll obvious to everyone else).

A lot of times, players don’t even know what they did wrong and sometimes they deny their mistakes if someone accuses them of making them.

The needle in the haystack…

Anyway, point is, even if you think you’re doing everything right with your business…but you’re not getting the result you’re expecting, you’re probably making a small but critical error I can help you see.

The Done-For-You Traffic consultation is a way to run your BUSINESS plays in front of a professional “coach”.

Read about it at the link below:

Now you’ll know exactly which mistake stops you from winning online. And now, more importantly, you know how to fix it.

Why You Should NOT Hire YaghiLabs!

A subscriber recently wrote to me interested in one of our traffic services at YaghiLabs and I told her NOT to hire us.

While we do enjoy working with new clients and helping them get more traffic, we frequently advise subscribers to not spend any more money with us.

Strange, isn’t it?

But there’s a good reason why. Let me give you a couple of quick examples:

“One client came to us saying their best customers came through face-to-face contact and handing out business cards at various business meetings. But they wanted more traffic.

We suggested they do not use paid traffic and instead, focus on the layout of their website so it would convert more people into inquiring about their service.”

Why?

Because, in their particular case, cold traffic would have converted poorly. They would’ve wasted scarce funds on something they really did not need.

One client was worth thousands of dollars over time anyway. So it was better for them to focus where they already had success and just improve their sales process.

Another had a great product that converted very well with Joint Venture promotions.

He asked us to start and manage a new traffic campaign for him.

Guess what?

“We told him NOT to hire us. Because we knew that his product would ONLY sell well with the existing audiences of other marketers.

We thought the best approach for him was to foster his partnerships, incentivize his affiliates with better commissions, and systematize his JV efforts in a specific way that would make his partners more willing to promote his products for him.”

The point?

Paid traffic is NOT always the right answer for you!

You see, this is the value of using our LOW-end Done-For-You Traffic Consultation.

It’s only $497, and you get to speak with ME for TWO HOURS.

I study your website, your strategy, and your marketing.

I ask a number of critical questions about your business.

You get to ask me for the best direction to take.

And then I advise you the best way to grow your business without spending another cent.

How To Use Keyword Search Volume

Page May Have Missing Text

search volume statistics

Keyword Search Volume Tools

Online tools such as Google Insights, WordTracker and SEO Book will assist you in determining the daily or monthly volume, origin and competition level of the keywords relevant to your campaign. These can be used to help you research and identify the best and most cost-effective keywords for your purposes. They will also make the process much faster than tedious manual research.

After compiling a list of promising words and phrases, you can further prioritize these keywords as they correspond to the needs of your target or niche markets. These can then be utilized in your online advertising campaigns (including ads and landing pages) as well as website or blog content. Remember though, while adding keywords to your website content will help your search engine ranking, overusing them may leave your site susceptible to being penalized or banned for spamming.

Local vs Global Searches

One of the biggest mistakes new online marketers make is to base their research on global search volume rather than local search results. You need to understand where the bulk of traffic for your keyword is being generated and what relevance it has to your product or service.

For example, the keyword phrase “air conditioner service” reveals an estimated 165,000 monthly searches globally and 74,000 locally in the United States. If your AC service company only wants to target your city (and surrounding area) you will need to make sure the research tool you are using allows you to identify those demographics as well. This way, you can eliminate the potential traffic from the rest of the country and attract the audience best suited to you.

Can You “White-Label” YaghiLabs Traffic Services For Your Clients?

Recently i’ve been getting a number of inquiries from entrepreneurs asking if we could work out an agreement to “sub-contract” traffic consulting services to their clients through us.

To be honest, i’ve ignored most of these requests up to this point.

Reason being, I NEED to conduct a 2-hour consultation directly with the client before i can build a campaign for them. No body else can dig up the information i require. And the consultation is not something i can easily delegate or dispense with.

Personalized Traffic Campaigns

Conducting a free “phone conversation” with you to figure out an agreement takes up my time and is not useful to you or your client — i cannot get all the information i need from you to build the traffic campaign for the client.

“You see, our campaigns and their marketing are not template-based. They are not a one-size fits all solution and we approach each client’s marketing differently.”

Therefore, the Done-For-You Traffic Service is not a “virtual product” that can be easily “white labelled” and invisibly delivered to your client without them knowing that YaghiLabs delivered it.

Even if we were willing to deliver a traffic campaign to your client, they will not get much use out of it and it wouldn’t work as well as you’d expect.

However, there is a simple solution i suggest you consider instead…

In the Done-For-You Traffic Service sales presentation, you’ll find there are TWO options for consultation (you’ll find the presentation here).

Traffic Services Options

Option #1 is best-suited to end-clients. It’s the most popular of the two because it is an all-in-one complete Traffic and Marketing service, complete with a two-hour consultation, a landing page, a 10-day email follow-up series, and a 50,000+ keyword PPC campaign with two ad variations to test, a Marketing Proposal with content strategy, and several campaign management instructions and tutorials.

Option #2, however, is a much cheaper alternative and much more useful for entrepreneurs who want to provide marketing services to THEIR clients.

“In this option, you get a useful two hour phone consultation with me — which you can use for yourself or ON BEHALF of your client.”

During this consultation, it’s easier for me to understand your client’s needs and to give you recommendations for how to help them sell their products online.

I give you instructions on the best approach for you to service your client. I make recommendations about where to advertise, how to advertise, which audience to target, keywords, ads, etc. As well as what their website should look like, and what their content strategy should be. We’ll pinpoint what is unique about their business and how best to highlight it to their customers…

And then YOU can implement these suggestions for the client.

I can tell you, this is where OUR profit margin lies – and it’s where you have most room to cut cost with your contractors.

There’s a lot more profit to be had than the small discount or commission i might give you for referring us clients. As you probably already know, we have no shortage of traffic and that’s why we do not have a referral program.

So if you’d like to try this approach and profit from our expertise, then you can read more about Option #2 here.

Good luck!

How To Create Opt-In Lead Generator

I would be lying to you if I said there was only one way to create an Opt-In Lead Generator. Okay, technically speaking there is just one way, that is, by doing so with some type of web development code. Let’s break down the process a bit more and skip the technical speak…

Building an Opt-In Lead Generator Starting Point

Building a lead generator doesn’t start on a webpage, capture page, squeeze page, or any other page you find online. Putting together an effective lead generator starts with an effective marketing plan. This could be a plan in which your product or service is already getting results, well before you start advertising using the Internet.

I get it, you are just starting out and you want to sell to people only online. I am sure you have some kind of competition somewhere and they may have a method setup to generate leads with some form of Opt-In system. You are aware of your competition right….right?

You Must Already Know

Market research seems to be the last thing entrepreneurs add to their portfolio of business skills. When it comes time to sell, they can get frustrated as to why no one is purchasing what they have to offer. Let’s assume your product is something people want to buy. Now your job is to make sure they buy from you. Not only do you want them to buy from you, you want them to be ready to buy and open to buy even more by being an Opt-In customer. Tongue twister much?

Opt-In generators give your customers a way to say, “Yes…I want to stay connected with your business.”

Method of Opt-Ins

Your product is good and you have a website up and running. Now you’re targeting potential customers (and current ones) who would like to stay connected with you and are interested in your product or service. It’s time to pick a method to make this happen…

  • Email marketing
  • Direct Mail
  • Social Media
  • Micro Blogs
  • Text messages

and more…

Tools of the Trade

Depending on the method or style you are going with for capturing or collecting your customers permission to send them stuff, there are many tools to assist you.

Email Marketing programs like Aweber, MailChimp, Constant Contact and iContact allow you to create forms for webpages so your visitors can give you their permission to be contacted directly. They also provide you with a method of storing and managing all related content.

Social Media sites use Apps or Plugins which interact with email marketing tools or have custom code to collect your customers permissions as well.

Being Realistic

Breaking down the specifics for your particular business would be impossible in one article. What I want you to take from this information is that developing a good Opt-in lead generation method for your business will take careful planning, setting specific goals based on your products and services, and testing.

As an entrepreneur you have to measure the value of learning the skills necessary to put such tools to use (and at a profit) versus having an experienced team of professionals leverage the time and effort for you.

Yes, we do this everyday at Yaghi Labs. Traffic, Conversions, Testing, Marketing, Generating Qualified Leads and so much more…

We can tell you if using the Internet to grow your business is worth your time and money. And if so, we will work with you directly and provide the expertise needed to succeed and thrive online.

How Important Is AdWords In Your Marketing?

Almost all businesses could benefit from the proper use of Google Adwords. I’m pretty confident most business owners froth at the mouth a little when presented with fresh new humans to sell to but…

Not Every Business NEEDS Adwords

In fact, some businesses are better off without it.

But you? Are you better off with it?

Well that, my friend, depends on the type of business you have.

The important thing here is that your business is heading in the right direction and is profitable.

Yes, Adwords is practically the only place on the planet where you can show or offer your product/service to another human at the exact moment they look for it. Emotions are high at the time of searching, which greatly enhances the chances of people buying.

So Who Doesn’t Need Adwords?

Did you ever hear of “that girl”…a YouTube phenomenon if ya like. Started making a few silly videos of herself doing her make-up so her friends could see how she did it. Next thing, her videos get millions of hits and she ends up on tv and radio shows all over the UK.

Oh, and she made a ton of money. 🙂

Thing is, I bet she never even heard of Adwords.

If her plan from the outset was to start such a business, then some would argue an Adwords campaign may or may not have been a good strategy to kick start interest.

So How Do You Know If It’s Right For You?

We had a client a few weeks back who wanted to start a ppc campaign. After a consultation with one of our in-house experts, he soon realised that ppc would be a waste of money for his type of business. Saved him hours of lost time and, well, a lot of wasted $$$.

Inside our Internet Business Academy there is a whole module devoted to this topic. It will teach you exactly how your business should be structured in order to stand out like a Ferrari in a scrap yard.

You will learn the best way to market your type of business and, if Adwords is right for you, we’ll give you access to our ppc experts who can teach you or even help make your business profitable…ASAP! 😉

Some Things To Ponder…

While Adwords can generate massive amounts of leads and sales almost instantly, it’s by far the hardest to master. I know first hand how awesome Adwords can be and I also know how it can damage you.

Oh, and Do NOT rely solely on Adwords.

How To Come Up With Lateral PPC Keywords

A reader wrote in last week with the following question…

“Ewan,

I’m starting ppc marketing and have hit a brick wall. How do you build on top of your main keywords? I have got about 20 and can’t think of any more. That’s never going to take my business to the next level.”

It’s a great question and one I hear over and over again from marketers entering the ppc battlefield.

The cool part is that 20 keywords could easily make you $20,000/mo. In fact, I have a friend who is consistantly doing $25,000/mo from 4 keywords. 🙂

But it’s near impossible to do this from a standing start. You will have to build a bigger list and find what’s working for you.

I Feel Your Pain

I too, when starting ppc, hit the very same wall. My first training taught me to open an excel spreadsheet and list as many keywords related to my product as I could. I think I got around 12 and seriously thought there were actually NO MORE. 😉

More Pain

Being an inexperienced ppc marketer, the next frustration was the ‘newbie tax’ 🙁 – the first keywords you come up with that are usually very generic and not ‘buyer keywords.’ Every single marketer in your niche is doing the same. This means you have to pay through the nose for these generic keywords and they often don’t convert. 1000’s of dollars and leads later = no sales!!!

Let Me Explain

I was looking for MLM-type keywords. My list went like this…

MLM, Network Marketing, Home Business, Work From Home. Very generic, agree? People searching for this are generally ‘just looking’ and cost you lots of wasted ad-spend.

Getting creative, thinking outside the box, and building a keyword list unique to you, is important if you are going to create a killer ppc campaign. Find keywords with low competition, which are extremely qualified, then line them up like soldiers ready for battle in neat little ad groups. This can bring you crazy results. So…

How To Come Up With Lateral PPC Keywords?

You need to get inside the mind of your ideal customer. What are they searching for? What are their problems (i.e. the ones you’re about to solve)? When you have listed some relevant keywords, run them through the Google Keyword Tool for more ideas.

Inside the Yaghi Labs Internet Business Academy, you will learn how to come up with a keyword list which is unique to you and will deliver insane amounts of qualified, eager-to-buy customers.

What are you waiting for?

How Many Leads Should A Good Landing Page Generate?

According to recent reports, up to 50% of the people who visit your landing page will leave in the first 8 seconds. Many more will fail to fill out your optin form and others will leave false contact information. So what’s an online marketer to do? Let’s investigate a few key elements which will have a direct effect on your results…

Conversion Rates

Defined as the “number of goal achievements divided by number of visits,” conversion rates for e-commerce landing pages fall between 1-4%. A goal can refer to opting in for free content, being added to a newsletter mailing list, or another similar offer which results in a lead being generated (i.e. email or contact information being gathered). Even highly targeted traffic, sent to a relevant landing page, will only generate about a 15-20% lead conversion rate.

Traffic Sources

The most common sources of landing page traffic are PPC (pay-per-click advertising), SEO (clicks from a search engine query), and Social Media sharing (e.g. Facebook, Twitter). Your job is to convert those clicks into contacts, and the contacts into sales. Traffic generated through an extremely targeted PPC campaign will generate many more quality leads than simply tweeting a link on Twitter. The type of traffic you send to your landing page has an immediate and direct correlation to your conversion rate.

Landing Page Optimization

Keep your landing page simple and to the point. Offer something free and enticing in return for a lead’s contact information. Split testing your landing page and experimenting with different elements is imperative.

At Yaghi Labs we deliver not only the science, but also the art, of landing page design. Included with our done-for-you-ppc-traffic service we provide you with a fully optimized custom landing page which incorporates ALL the components of our proven lead generation formula. We focus on motivating your visitors to take action…let us help your business become profitable today: www.jimyaghi.com/about-jim-yaghi/consult-me

How To Advertise A Replicated Site

I’m not sure about you, but I associate replicated pages with spammers, newbies and those who lack creativity.

This guy pops up on Facebook chat the other day…full of enthusiasm he says, “Ewan, how’s business going?” and in the next split second I replied.

BOOM! And back he came with,

“…you should take a look at this,” and a link…

www.If-You-Think-I’m-Gonna-Click-And-Buy-You’re-An-Idiot.com/UserId

I mean, by asking one lousy question, do you really think this will make me buy from you or join your team?

Most of the time I ignore things like this, but every now and again I’m in the mood to try and save these people. I replied, “dude, you’re not making many sales are you?”

I felt his enthusiasm turn into heartache and after a few back and forths he asked me…

“So How Do I Advertise My Replicated Website?”

Uhm, you don’t 😉 well, not upfront anyway!

The Problem With Replicated Sites

Okay, where do I start…

Problem 1

They all look the same. How do you stamp your authority, or set yourself apart, when you are shoving the same link in people’s faces that thousands of others are too? You look the same as EVERYBODY else. You need to be unique in the market place. To top it all off, this strategy is usually extremely ineffective as well.

Problem 2

Replicated sites tend to focus on the company and how awesome they are. Your potential customers are looking to have a problem they are suffering from solved! Who cares if a company has its headquarters in a gazillion square feet next to Dave’s Ice Cream Parlour on the sunny coast of M.I.S.S.I.S.S.I.P.P.I. (now close your eyes and spell it backwards). 😉

Problem 3

I have seen first hand how using these sites can damage your reputation and your business. If you generate leads within a company’s generic system, some so-called leaders have access to them and have been known to ‘steal leads’ from unsuspecting victims. I have also seen the unique link not work correctly. After you’ve done all the hard work, and made a sale, the commission goes to another *ahem* entrepreneur.

Problem 4

What happens if the company goes out of business? You’re left with nothing. No income, no websites, no ‘system’ which you relied on so heavily, and no business.

But It’s Not All Doom And Gloom

Listen, Network Marketing and Affiliate marketing can provide incomes like politicians can provide bull-poo…

…IF, you do it right. 🙂

If you’re to survive on the Internet, your business needs 2 things:

  • A Website
  • Somewhere to store data you collect, i.e. email address, etc.

Oh, and something to sell. 🙂

Any advertising you do should lead to YOUR website. Any emails you collect go to YOUR list. Then you market what you have to sell to YOUR list.

*Example*

You market a home business, collect leads through your website, THEN you use the company’s sign up page for new people to join your team. Because the lead went through your own funnel you have more than likely earned trust and respect from this person; the selling part becomes easy. 🙂

D’ya follow? Now you’re bullet-proof.

This way, once you have made the sale, you can market over and over to the same people as long as they remain on your list.

Did you know, inside the Yaghi Labs Internet Business Academy, we show you exactly how to build a killer website which gets so much traffic it’s not even funny? 🙂 You will learn things which affect sales that next to no one knows about!

Please understand that the Academy is only for people who are serious about building a ‘real income’ online. If you’re looking for shiny balls, it’s probably not for you 😉

lots of love

ewan 🙂

Do Guaranteed Traffic Sites Really Work?

Hey, sure, guaranteed traffic sites work. They get you traffic and may even result in the odd sale or sign-up, but it’s a strategy for the lazy who are desperate for leads. They really can’t be bothered building a real business, so they look for the ‘quick fix’ type of marketing. 🙂

Here’s The Problem With Guaranteed Traffic

These offers are downright scams and these companies deliver bogus traffic in many different ways. Some companies will simply use “bots” that constantly visit your website until it reaches the hits they promise. Many customers report when they analyzed their traffic logs they received all the traffic from one IP address.

Paying for raw traffic like this is a waste of money. Most “guaranteed traffic” services use pop-unders which may cause your domain to become flagged by some anti-adware/security software programs. Additionally, don’t be misled by claims from some “guaranteed traffic” companies that they can deliver targeted traffic. They are still presenting your web site to people who DID NOT ask for it.

They Play On Your Emotion

You need traffic so bad you will do anything to get it. I remember it well, selling your own grandmother for some traffic action seemed like a viable option. 🙂

So you agree to pay a company $0.01, or sometimes $0.02, per person they can get to your website.

However…

The people these traffic scams are getting to click on your link are not people who really care about your business. They are people who are getting paid to click on your site.

Yes, these sites offer to split YOUR money with the person who clicks on your link.

If you still think it sounds like a good deal then by all means go and test it, but start really small.

Become A Real Entrepreneur

I’d say this is your best option. Put everything in place you need to run a real business. Learn how to generate traffic that converts to sales.

Inside the Yaghi Labs Internet Business Academy, traffic experts are waiting to teach you how to get traffic in volumes you can only dream about. Real traffic, sustainable traffic, people who are screaming to buy what you have to offer. 😉

See you inside,

How To Generate A Lead Using PPC

Fred, an aspiring PPC advertiser asks,

What makes more sense?…

“Send visitors searching under my brand name to my home page – from a keyword they entered with the assumption they know something about my company (or brand, or product or service) without specifically knowing what they’re searching for (apart from my company)?”

Or…

“Create an optimized landing page around some free content that’s going to be engaging to my target audience – directing the company name PPC searches to this page – and include a sign-up form on the landing page?”

Dear Fred, definitely the latter!

Let’s dive into this…

How To Generate A Lead Using PPC

As a PPC advertiser, select which keywords you want to target with ads.

Then write targeted and relevant ad copy which people looking for those keywords would be interested in.

Don’t use the ads to make a sales pitch.

Instead, use the ad to attract visitors to a lead page or opt-in form.

Here’s the rational:

The “go for the jugular” approach (where you try to make the sale immediately) is far less effective online. Instead, it’s preferable to focus on generating leads. Collecting a stranger’s name and email address is much easier than persuading him to buy right away. It also allows more time to build the trust and credibility needed for short term sales and  long-term buying relationships.

Hands down, THE best way to get more leads is to use PPC

However, there is a ton of misinformation across the web on this topic.

You generate leads with PPC by connecting the searcher, who has an idea in his head of what he is looking for, with the ad you put on the PPC engine. This directs to your landing page when the searcher clicks your ad.

The key is to keep in mind what a person is looking for when inputting their request on a search engine – no matter if it’s Google, Yahoo, Bing or YouTube.

Same concept for Facebook as well but with Facebook it’s based on demographics.

When running a PPC campaign your task is to optimize your campaigns by managing the relationship between clicks, conversion and cost.

Keep conversions increasing while watching the cost to drive each conversion down.

In theory, this is a simple concept but many a PPC advertiser have lost their shirt pursuing this process.

Let’s conclude with the main ingredients for PPC lead generation success…

  • Implement Conversion Tracking.
  • Comprehensive Keywords: generate a list of keywords that you refine to find the keywords which convert best for you.
  • Proper Landing Pages: Don’t send the traffic to your home page. Ads should have landing pages.
  • Lead Generation Form: Keep it simple.  Research has shown that less is more. Usually just ask for name and email, or only email.
  • Offer an Incentive: a free trial, 30 day discount, etc. Incentives increase conversions.
  • Make it Easy to Contact: Just because they found you online via a paid search doesn’t mean they might not want to pick up the phone to call you. Make it easy for your leads to contact you.

How To Generate PPC Keywords

“Angst: an intense feeling of apprehension, anxiety or inner turmoil”

Generating PPC keywords, or specific terms used to search for something on the Internet, can be a daunting and time-consuming task. Finding keywords that convert to sales can prove even more challenging and create a feeling of great angst in most marketers.

Our mission at Yaghi Labs is to eliminate the pay-per-click advertising difficulties faced by online entrepreneurs and small business owners worldwide. If, however, you would like to try this on your own, here are a couple of tips to help you begin…

Keyword Research

The Google AdWords keyword tool and traffic estimator provides a great starting point for generating campaign-appropriate keywords and phrases. It’s a straightforward and simple tool that will give you a good indication of overall search engine traffic and related data. Research your niche market and ideal customer well before proceeding.

google

Beyond the AdWords tool, there are many other free and paid options you can pursue. How effective these are vary from company to company but here are a few of the major providers of PPC keyword services: Keyword Discovery, Market Samurai, Keyword Spy and SpyFu.

Examples of the various types of data you should be looking for include: keyword trends, monthly and daily search numbers, level of competition, user and location demographics.

Analyze Your Competitors

An essential part of keyword research is to learn from, or “spy” on, your competitors. Why reinvent the wheel when you can get a head start by accessing historical data from your specific market. The information you gather will assist you in building a strong foundation of keyword choices which can then be modified and augmented.

Remember, you’re not only trying to create a list of relevant keywords which people actually use but ones that are proven to convert to sales.

Perfecting A System Over Time…

Here at Yaghi Labs, we develop our own proprietary systems for keyword generation, PPC ad creation and online business as a whole. Our complete Internet Business Academy course offers the best and most comprehensive training of its kind available today. Check it out at www.jimyaghi.com/ylacademy

How Does Social Bookmarking Work In Affiliate Marketing?

Social bookmarking is tagging a website and saving it for later, rather than saving it to your internet browser… it’s online, you’ll be able to easily share it with other internet users who may be interested

Social bookmarking can be a MAJOR asset to you as an affiliate marketer, IF you get it right and bookmark the right stuff 🙂

It’s an awesome way for you to spread the word about your product, resulting in droves of traffic to your site

What do bookmarks do?

As an affiliate promoting a product, you need traffic!

Social bookmarking is a way for you to spread the word about the product and if other people like the article you socially bookmark or get interested in the product, they will want to keep a bookmark of it for later reference. And since social bookmarking tools allow people to see each OTHER’S bookmarks and search them, this brings ‘social proof’ to your corner.

It also reveals exactly how a website is perceived by web users, especially when some bookmarking sites allow voting.  This show’s the search engines and any other classification system how people feel about the quality of the website. Additionally, it’s a great way to help the search engines find your pages a lot earlier via bookmarking than through some other type of inbound link.

Why do so many affiliates struggle?

You know as well as I do, affiliate marketing is a great way to make a living but there is waaaaay to many affiliate marketers out there who are, well…. broke!

It’s simply because they are missing a couple of vital ingredients to bring it all together.

While social bookmarking is a great way to get your site visible, the problem remains that most affiliate marketers are ‘spamming.’

Yes, the agenda is to get people to your site and ultimately spend money with you, but it has to be done the right way 😉

Why would Internet users bookmark your site anyway?

Here is a clue in the name, ‘social’ bookmarking. It’s a social thing. People are only going to get enthusiastic about the ‘good stuff.’

Here’s a few tips on how NOT to use social bookmarking sites.

Nobody likes a spammer. Don’t be a spammer! Sales copy won’t make it very far in the ranking. The ones who do the best in social bookmarking are the blogs and websites providing genuine, thoughtful entertainment, and content worthy of hearing about.

Affiliate marketing, the right way!

If you want people to pay attention to the content you are bookmarking…

…get creative

Think outside the box. People are always looking to buy stuff. It’s your job to make the customer desire your product. 😉

When you dont really know how to do this, it may seem easier said than done, but that’s what we can teach you how to do inside the Yaghi Labs Internet Business Academy.

Hurry over, we’re teaching affiliates just like you, every day! Dont get left behind.

lots of love

Why Did Google AdWords Ban Your Account?

Ban: “to prohibit, especially by official decree”

As the self-proclaimed supreme rulers of the online universe, Google has the right to do as they please (tongue firmly in cheek). But what does this mean for you, the honest advertiser, and how can you fix something when you don’t even know what you did wrong?

Let’s have a look at a few of the main reasons for Google’s “guillotine approach” to AdWords account management:

–       “Get rich quick” schemes

–       Sites that gather personal information from visitors

–       Websites that spread malware

–       Selling counterfeit goods

Well that seems obvious doesn’t it? But you’re not doing any of the things listed above and you’ve still been banned! Let’s dig a little deeper into the mindset of this omnipotent entity…

Quality Score

Google strives to create a “safe and positive user experience” when people visit their main site or any related site (i.e. a page you link to by using their search engine). They will evaluate both your ads and your landing page (or website) regularly to ensure you remain compliant.

When someone visits your site it must be clear what product or service you are providing. It must be easy to navigate and feature original and relevant content. The keywords that you use in your Google AdWords campaign must also be related to your ad copy and to the material on your website. Congruency from start to finish is key.

Policies, Terms and Conditions…oh my!

I’m going to say this once, then I’m going to say it again…READ THIS STUFF. It’s boring, it’s long and it’s incredibly important to your online business longevity. If you follow the rules you can play their game and win. If they change the rules, and you still want to play, then change with them.

It’s What We Do!

Here at Yaghi Labs, we lock hundreds of over-achieving computer nerds in a tiny room and have them spit out phenomenal Google AdWords campaigns by the minute! Well, not really, but you get the idea…this is what we do for a living…

If you’re tired of fighting a losing battle with the big guys, and want know more about how to “tweak” your online business in order to achieve massive results, then listen and learn at http://jimyaghi.com/ylacademy

Google AdWords Help

The online marketing battlefield is littered with the bodies of brave warriors who have accepted the Google AdWords challenge. Sadly, they were unaware of the countless landmines scattered along their path.

What appears to be a straightforward and simple concept in the beginning can quickly turn into a nightmare scenario as your hard-earned marketing budget is depleted faster than a speeding bullet.

Google AdWords Boot Camp

Let’s start at the beginning…

According to Google, here’s how it works:

  • “You create your ads”
  • “Your ads appear on Google”
  • “You attract customers”

Sounds simple doesn’t it? Let’s all get started now and make billions!

Oh, but wait…there’s more…you also need to:

  • “Target the right user in the right context”
  • Attract your “local and regional” demographic
  • “Measure and optimize your results”

The list goes on and on, and the level of knowledge required to master the AdWords beast goes deeper and deeper. Then, after you finally understand the “theory” behind what they do, your next hurdle is to apply all this information in a real-world situation…with real money (i.e. yours).

How To Google AdWords

Now, let’s review the AdWords Terms & Conditions (aka “the fine print”):

how

And that’s only the beginning!

Quality User Experience

In Google’s eyes, “user experience” is their primary concern. As an AdWords advertiser you must adhere to this philosophy and be educated on exactly what is required. From ad format to website functionality, restricted products to copyright infringements, malware protection to spam techniques, the onus is on you be compliant.

No soldier heads into battle without the proper training, experience and weapons in his or her arsenal. The same can be said for high-level online marketing strategies like Google AdWords.

Here at Yaghi Labs, we’re passionate believers in the power of PPC advertising (e.g. Google AdWords, Facebook PPC, Bing/Yahoo/AOL). It’s highly effective, immediate and positions you so you don’t have to LOOK for potential customers.

how effective is Facebook ppc?

one friday afternoon, i received a commission payment for around $3500. i decided to put the whole lot back to work.

having had a great chat with Jim Yaghi the week before, i was keen to put my new website to work so i punched in my card details and i was all set up for Facebook ads.

i set it live, put my favourite song on YouTube and went to make my afternoon coffee. i may have also had a small cake too, i forget 😉

it couldn’t have been more than half an hour… new emails already – lead notifications…

40 within the first hour, over 200 by friday night, wtf?

don’t people have anything better to do on a friday evening? 🙂

anyway, 3 weeks, 3000 leads or so and almost $50,000 later

you ask…

…how effective is Facebook ppc?

i answer, ‘big smiley’ 🙂

with 800 million users, half of which log in daily, you’d be crazy not to want your business in front of them.

but remember…

…it’s easy to blow a ton of money with pay per click marketing…

if you follow my steps laid out below, you will soon be on your way to a profitable campaign.

identify your goals

what is it you are setting out to achieve?

  • grow a fanbase – encourage people to like your page by offering valuable benefits for engaging.
  • drive sales – offer special deals and giveaways in your ad campaign to bring people into your store.
  • build awareness – reach a large audience with a widely targeted ad campaign.

target the right people

this is sooooo important.

you wouldn’t want to sell weight loss products to skinny people right?

think about the profiles of the people you want to reach with your ads, and select criteria based on what your audience is interested in, instead of what they might be looking to buy.

know who your target audience is. you can target by…

  • location, language, education, and work
  • age, gender, birthday, and relationship status
  • likes & interests such as ‘camping’, ‘hiking’, or ‘backpacking’

design your ad

once you know your target audience, design your ad to suit

~~> this article details how to write an effective ad <~~

where are you sending them?

there are arguments both for and against sending your traffic to a facebook fanpage or straight to your own website.

obviously, if you’re trying to grow your fan base then you will want to use a fan page but to drive straight sales, your own website is as good as any.

manage your budget

by setting a low budget you make sure you don’t blow all your money in your first day of the campaign. set it low, test it and if it doesnt work, find out why and fix it. if it works, ramp it up 🙂

review and improve

keep watching your ad, how it converts and if it is achieving what you want it to achieve. by looking at this you will know where changes and improvements are required from ad to sale.

let me know how your campaign goes 🙂

i also strongly suggest you come visit our Internet Business Academy. here you will learn every aspect of building a profitable online business.

lots of love,

How To Advertise Online

So you’ve got your new whiz-bang product and are on your way to making MILLIONS…if only people knew about it and could find it!

You KNOW that people are making piles of money online but you have no idea how to even get started…

Well, despite what every “Guru” in Internet-land would have you believe, learning how to advertise online is not rocket science!!!

Online Advertising Basics

Start by creating a compelling offer. Outline the features and benefits of your product or service. What makes your product different and what makes it better? How does it make people feel? Why do they need to have it?

You’ve got to know your audience. There’s no sense in spending valuable time and money exposing your product to people who don’t want it or need it. Identify your “ideal customer” prior to mapping out your marketing plans and find out where they congregate online.

Research, dissect and learn from your competition. Why reinvent the wheel, or start over from scratch, when someone’s already done that for you? Find out what works in your marketplace then test it, tweak it and apply your own unique spin.

And remember…

STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

Online Advertising Choices

It boggles the mind how many advertising platforms are readily available on the Internet today. These choices are usually divided into two categories, “paid” and “free”. Again, prior to launching your first campaign, make sure to research what your competition is doing. What works for them will most likely work for you too.

For larger marketing budgets, paid advertising (managed correctly) will produce more immediate results than free advertising…you can read more about this at www.jimyaghi.com/about-jim-yaghi/consult-me

Paid Advertising choices include:

  • Pay Per Click (PPC)
  • Pay Per View (PPV)
  • Cost Per Action (CPA)
  • Banners & Pop Ups
  • Email (Solo Ads)
  • Ad Networks (Internet-based and Mobile)
  • Online classifieds (e.g. Craig’s List)

Free Advertising choices include:

  • Social Networking (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Social Bookmarking (Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, etc.)
  • Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
  • Article and Ezine Websites
  • Press Releases
  • Directory Listings
  • Blogs
  • Forums
  • Link Exchanges

Attraction Advertising

Attracting qualified customers to your offer is the primary objective of online advertising. Optimizing your website or free web presence (*see Yaghi IBA tips at www.jimyaghi.com/yaghilabs-internet-business-academy) is imperative in order to maximize your profits. By providing valuable and relevant content to your target demographic you will lay the groundwork for a long-term and loyal customer base.
