Our ads are primarily text-only and image-hybrid, as well as animated banner ads.
About Pay-Per-Click Advertising
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is different from traditional media advertising because it is billed by advertising networks on performance.
PPC advertising is a science and cannot be done in-house without the help of an experienced or licensed campaign manager such as YaghiLabs is.
A PPC Manager is a business consultant in many ways, because our job is to balance the equation between how much our clients spend on advertising (which we can lower), how effective their advertising dollars are, and how much money comes back to the client’s business in sales.
Our clients hire us to manage their campaigns, ie, we are Middle-men between the advertising network and the client, much like an ad agency, who help our clients reach their target audience.
On PPC advertising platforms, we, the campaign manager specify targeting (eg, search keywords on Google/MSN or interests/likes on FaceBook) and text/graphical ads we match to targeting we deem favourable for our client.
Typically, a high-volume campaign we produce and manage consists of 50,000+ keywords and 1,000 ads and costs the client $4,000-$10,000 / month to run (excluding our fees which are also billed on performance).
We offer, on your behalf, a “bid” you are willing to pay for any clicks received, which we select for you based on your budget, and then the network compares your ads with your competitors targeting the same people and places in a more (or less) favourable position according to:
a) how much we offer to pay per click compared to the competition,
b) and, how frequently our ad is clicked relative to how many times it is displayed compared to the competition.
If we bid the highest and create ads that are better received than others, your ad will be positioned in progressively more visible spots on the network.
Then you are billed by the network in real-time a price for each click you receive (and only for clicks you receive) which never exceeds the bid we set for you.
Actual cost per click may be significantly less than the bid too, if the corresponding ad is historically clicked more frequently than the others on the page when displayed.
But if our bid is restricted by your budget, your ads may get ZERO exposure.
So it’s best to bid highest because that receives most exposure. But if you use a bad campaign manager, and your ads are infrequently clicked by users of the platform, your ads will slip to less favourable positions, get less exposure, and will need more spending to get exposure again.
Our job is to manage our client’s ad-spending and produce better-received advertising so they get more traffic for less money. We do this by optimising the bid amount, by modifying your targeting, and by writing new better ads.
in summary, PPC is an ongoing testing process. And when you hire us to manage your advertising, we monitor and adjust your spending AND the revenue the advertising produces.
