I Need A Funded Proposal System That’s Not Expensive

A Funded Proposal should do two things: Recover your spending on advertising to create a customer, and create an evangelical customer. How do you do that? This article shows you.

You’re probably going to hate me for saying this.

Recently, I was participating in a forum where someone began a heavily debated thread about Funded Proposal Systems.

Over the course of my career as an online business marketer, i found that Funded Proposals are misunderstood. Even the gurus with their large system followings–they could make more sales and have a true evangelical following if they understood it the way i see Funded Proposals.

A Funded Proposal isn’t magic.

It’s just a fancy name for “everything you sell to recover your ad spend”. Meaning, a “funded proposal” could be made up of 3 or 4 different products. The sum total of their revenue lets you break even on your advertising cost. This permits you to continue to generate leads from paid traffic who will buy all your other stuff.

Mike Dillard, a pioneer in the Funded Proposal space is the only one who created an extraordinary funded proposal system.

Dillard knew that his Magnetic Sponsoring funded proposal should have two purposes:

  • To recover what HE spend on advertising so he can keep generating leads
  • To warm prospects up so they buy everything else he wants to sell

With a subscriber-base of over 1 million, it is a testament that his understanding is superior to every other guru out there.

Now most of the people in the discussion thread were of the opinion that one should create their own funded proposal and sell it cheap.

I agree.

Make your own funded proposal. Its purpose, after all, is to sell the rest of YOUR products, not someone else’s.

A Cheap Funded Proposal Is Not A Funded Proposal At All

But a CHEAP product for $4 (as some suggested), will NOT create enough sales activity to recover ad spend.

Keeping the price low, creates a giant gap between your spending and your revenue.

It’s extremely difficult to break even at $4 a sale, considering that your average LEAD will set you back about $5-$20 (depending on how good you are at PPC).

I don’t know about you, but it usually costs me at least $50 in paid ads to make a single sale.

Perhaps you think that’s just because I’m a horrible seller and I’m probably over-paying for my traffic. But facts are facts. This has been my experience as the top paid advertising consultant in my industry.

Particularly before campaigns are optimised, the cost is much too high to break even with a $4 sale.

Forgive me.

Even at $4, you’re still asking someone to whip out a credit card and pay. They will resist the sale, even if it’s $1 nearly as much as they would at $50.

So you may as well make it count.

Should You Use Someone Else’s Funded Proposal System?

In short, NO.

Marketing Systems treat you as a user as an affiliate. Someone who is typically paid HALF (or less) of the revenue made from the sale.

Which means, you work twice as hard to make half the sale price in commission.

The fact of the matter, you’re NEVER going to recover your ad spend. Take it from me.

I’ve worked for most of the funded proposal systems as a traffic consultant, and in a majority of cases, breaking even on the first product is a physical IMPOSSIBILITY.

A Funded Proposal Warms Customers Up

Leaders in the network marketing Info-Marketing space neglect this feature of Funded Proposal system. In my opinion it cripples and holds them back from their full potential.

Their understanding of this point is far too simplistic.

Writing an eBook will only give you ONE product to sell.

This is NOT a funded proposal.

Converting Your Customers To Your Religion

A funded proposal warms its buyers to spend more money buying all your remaining solutions, almost automatically without thinking.

It makes you a trust-worthy leader they can follow blindly.

Now, be careful.

I am by no means saying that you should SELL a pure sales pitch.

Your goal should be to inform your customer about YOUR BELIEFS.

These are the things that form the identity of your company. It’s the core beliefs that inspire you to do what you do, in offering and creating products and services for your market.

It contains your VISION and your MISSION all in one. Packaged as a well-thought out argument supporting all your beliefs.

It is your version of the truth. Why you think YOURS of all businesses is the one they should use to solve the problems that customers agonise from.

Think of your funded proposal like a BIBLE for a new religion. YOUR religion, their religion, the religion of your employees.

And you must convert all who read it to your way of thinking.

How?

Present a compelling argument, a logical reasonable argument that you are unwaveringly CONVINCED of.

An Example From YaghiLabs

Here’s an example to illustrate my point.

I, for one, don’t believe in marketing systems. They stand against everything we at YaghiLabs believe in.

We think Marketing Systems are not for entrepreneurs. They are a scapegoat way out for the typical employee drone who thinks money comes easy.

We are unwaveringly AGAINST marketing systems.

We see them create more problems than they solve. Through numerous client consultations, our personal experience, and spending time actively communicating with the Home Business community. We KNOW this to be true.

Simply presenting our experiences in a product, in a blog post, or anything else we publish to the YaghiLabs website, in a convincing well-reasoned argument, I automatically get across our entire philosophy.

This philosophy is the basis and core on which all my products, training, and services are built.

We truly want to institute change in the industry. Move them away from these replicated dying business models and help them to find their entrepreneurial selves.

We are PASSIONATE about this goal. We spend hours debating it with one another, shaking our heads at what we see is wrong in the industry, and making every effort to re-educate the masses.

If we can convince people of the problems we see, they will easily see the benefit of buying ALL of our products and services.

Who Are You As a Business?

Your business needs its own identity too.

You need real reasons why you do what you do the way you do it.

When you speak about your views, the people who believe in you or agree with you …they will be EVANGELICAL about your products. They will buy everything you wish to sell after.

Because they now share your belief structure. They no longer buy into the old beliefs that would have normally made them resist buying from you.

A Funded Proposal Sells The Beliefs of Your Business

My point is, your funded proposal has to come from a place of PERSONAL experience.

It has to be something you believe in and can defend and stand up for. it has to guide your life and your business.

Can you do all those things with someone ELSE’s funded proposal?

No! usually not.

In RARE cases, you can be evangelical about someone else’s ideas…but you’d be helping someone else spread their cause. In this case, you better be prepared to do that for charity. If you’re truly evangelical, then you can’t be a sell-out to your ideas for the sake of profit.

Working with someone else’s funded proposal system does not serve you.

It serves them to make people buy all THEIR products. NOT yours. Not your bizop. Nothing.

So to conclude this awfully long rant…

  1. Create your own funded proposal.
  2. Price it so you can break even on your ad spend
  3. Built it on foundations of personal beliefs and theories about how difficult problems of your customers can and should be solved
  4. Convince your team (or employees) to become evangelical about it. They must be willing to go out and preach the “good word” for the sake of enlightening others.
  5. Have a clear idea of what other products you intend to sell in future, because that’s where profit lives.

The YaghiLabs Internet Business Academy is the only course in the industry that educates its students on creating an unshakable identity, mission, and vision for their business. We’ve taken our students through some simple exercises that allow them to verbalise their philosophies in any market.

Web-Pimps Love to Circle-Jerk

Having friends in “high places” saves time and money. So how do you get a Mike Dillard or a Frank Kern to help your business–without paying their high fees? Here’s how…

web-pimps David Schwind and Jim Yaghi presenting at the first No Excuses Summit hosted by Fernando Ceballos and Raymond FongMy friend Ben seems to think I come from another planet.

Few days ago, he comes to me says, Jim, I’ve been at this TWO DAYS and I can’t make the damn checkbox you helped me with work.

It’s the order button for a new launch he’s doing.

“Giz a look, bro,”

I said in Kiwi vernacular.

I was swamped, but I knew it would be a quickie.

Inspected the page for about 30 seconds, then wrote back with:

“just copy this **insert javascript gobildy-gook** and paste it anywhere between A and HREF. Should be sweet mate!”

Worked, of course. And his shopping cart was ready to take orders. He was relieved!

Think about this for a sec…

Took me 30 seconds to do something he messed with for two days without resolution.

But not everyone has a computer whiz handy.

And I wouldn’t do this for just anyone. Ben is the #1 copywriter in our industry – and I’ve called on him MANY a time to critique my sales presentations.

In fact, he’s been like a brother at my side, helping me in every step of the IBA Launch right now.

Trading Skills

This is the difference between successful business owners and struggling ones.

We trade skills with one another. It’s a clever way to quickly learn and get done the things you’re not good at doing.

Ben’s not the only one either. For years now, I’ve created relations, gained experience, and swapped favours with promising entrepreneurs who later became web-PIMPS.

In my “newbie” years, my technical abilities and traffic skills made Mike Dillard, Tim Erway, Ben Settle, Raymond Fong, Fernando Ceballos, and David Schwind my BROTHERS.

my people.

Together We Made Millions.

How about you?

Who do you call on when you’re stuck? Who helps when you’ve installed a new pop-up software that you can’t get to look right? Or when you’re nervous about a new promo you’re doing and need a second opinion you can trust? Or when need someone to promo your latest product?

Without relations, you are like an orphan. It’s a lonely journey to take on your own.

Everyone needs their own “Jim Yaghi” to help solve their technical problems. Their own “Ben Settle” to look over their sales pages. Their own Tim Erway to promote their products. And their own Schwind, Fong, or Ceballos to talk business and bounce ideas with.

Which of these guys do you have?

The YaghiLabs IBA lets you ask your questions as they come up and get answers immediately from others.

Create relations. Find writers. JV with others– it’s all yours in the IBA membership area– Take a look for yourself!

The BETA is open for just one more week – if you want the 20% “Beta-Tester Discount”, grab it here for just $58 before it expires…

or FREE if you want. Either way, paying full price sucks! haha!

To Create “Irrational” Behaviour

the Muslim people, tell a story– which taught me a strange lesson.

I’ve often heard it told, that as a business owner, one should avoid discussing politics and religion–in case, somehow, we offend our buyers. And maybe that’s because…

Religion is rarely the first thing one thinks about when looking for examples of good business marketing.

Evil Business

Yet the darkest business minds have been known to “borrow” from religion to create mass viral, even obsessive buying behaviour.

In fact, many cultures believe that musical artists and celebrities who create a cult-following of fans, are satanic and evil. For this very reason–it’s enough to make anyone a little uneasy about learning the most powerful marketing of all.

How do you create an irrational following like Apple does?

How can you get armies of fans like Michael Jackson, Tupac, and Elvis did. (their fans will not believe they’re even dead!)

How can you create a star-wars or star-trek phenomenon?

How can you make your very own movement in business– like Mike Dillard’s “magnetic sponsoring” movement?

If these are questions you ask often, then I highly encourage you to study religion–

It is un-edited.

Perfect Business Growth

Religion spreads from a small group of individuals. It spans in few years over continents–and it continues to spread for thousands of years. Perhaps most fascinating is how it alters (to some degree) the behaviour and decisions of every person who adopts it.

Tell me that is not something any business would not want for their product!

“Your Wish Is My Command”

The story i have to tell you is not about how to sell to a person who does not want to buy your product. It is more than that–it is about how to make people do what you want.

As the story goes, a man of wealth and power walked in on his sister and cousin huddled over a manuscript…fresh verses they got a hold of from a new religion (which at the time was being spread secretly and underground).

The man was infuriated. He was ready to murder sister and cousin both in his rage.

But when he tried to hold the verses in his hand, his sister would not let him. She refused and said:

“You are not clean.”

WHAT!?

The heat of the desert made water scarce where they lived. Being “clean” was not a luxury people had in any regularity.

After much protest, finally, the angry brother’s curiosity got the better of him. And he agreed to wash and follow a cleaning ritual which even 1,500 years later, Muslims still perform several times a day…

Just so he can TOUCH the verses.

Please imagine for a second how this looks.

The guy wants to KILL his sister and cousin in his rage. And in the middle of this giant fight he drops his sword and performs some “odd” cleaning ritual for a religion he HATED. He was not even allowed to touch its verses–unless he accepted one of its rituals.

Mike Dillard Won’t Let You Into His Affiliate Program, Unless…

I have a friend, Mike Dillard who many years ago, put out a course. Alongside it, he built an affiliate program.

But the affiliate program was like none other.

Instead of allowing just anybody to sell his book and earn commissions from the sales, he required people to become customers (believers) FIRST. And only after they read his philosophy, only then, did he even bring up the affiliate program.

I do remember once asking Mike why he didn’t tell about the affiliate program in the marketing. After all, it was one of the highest converting offers i ever ran traffic to. It would attract a lot of affiliate marketers and be a great selling point. His answer intrigued me. And i thought about it often since.

Rituals & Cult-Followings

Everyone knows that rituals are in every religion. But we have rituals for everything–like our national anthem is a ritual for our country. And our uniform is a ritual for our school or job.

Rituals provide us with identity–a means to distinguish ourselves from others.

They provide us a mechanism to bond with and recognise others who share with us that identity. And it is because these others are tied to our identity we do “irrational” things to protect our community.

Yet, at the same time, we get “bragging rights” over others who don’t share in our rituals (which usually implies they don’t share our beliefs).

Peasants vs. Snootery and Snobbery

Professional sellers make a lot of money from borrowing these same ideas.

Like, think for example. Have you ever been to those snooty brand-name stores on the top floor or somewhere obscure? And on the shelves there’s about 3 pairs of shoes. Their staff look they have a carrot up their bum.

Ever wonder why they put them so far away and get mad if you even walk past, with that look of disgust? It seems like they’re mouthing, “Hmph, peasant!”

I think it’s because the location is part of the inaccessibility of their product to the general public. A ritual.

Or what about the slick fast car that drove past you last week and you have this friend whose cousin told him that his best friend had one…and he said it goes like crazy.

Any idea why that’s even a conversation?

Powerful stuff, isn’t it?

Mike Levels With Me

I asked Mike why their promotional material and sales letters don’t say much about the affiliate program.

Mike’s answer was simple.

He said he wanted people to buy the book for its content, Not just to be affiliates.

It sounded good, but didn’t seem like profitable to me. But his response haunted me…over the past two years I’ve often thought back to it. And I finally got it.

You’re Not Clean Until…

He created a ritual for affiliates. The result was a cult-following for him online.

Every affiliate of his had to read magnetic sponsoring first–this ensured his affiliates all spoke the same vocabulary and shared a belief in common with each other. That identity shared with a community makes us fight to protect the community as a whole if it is ever under attack. It only SEEMS irrational–but an attack on the community is like an attack on the individual.

And that means defending and spreading it is actually a RATIONAL action.

Very clever.

While Mike’s affiliate program remains exclusive. You are not “clean” until you’ve read Magnetic Sponsoring.

Did Mike Mean It?

I don’t know.

I have a hard time believing that Mike did this by accident–few things that work are accidental. I know that much.

What I do know, regardless, is that for such a simple ritual, it was effective. Mike’s book today has been taught directly or indirectly to nearly EVERY network marketer online.

A Journey Above the Pit

Split testing is stupid.

if a thing can’t sell on its own merits, then short of telling an outright lie, “split testing” sure won’t sell it.

this is a parasite :P

i’m sure i just pissed off a handful of split-testing advocates, but let ’em piss off because at this point, they’re beyond saving.

the state of the marketing industry is horrible. get up here, take a look at it with me.

It’s carnage. Look at them, at the outskirts…poor little guys don’t know what’s waiting for them on the inside.

Someone just a little inside the fence, on the “tempting” side does a little dance. He offers them a chance to get rich quick.

One takes a bite. Watch.

Inside, there are predators, scavengers, and parasites. Everyone here is prey to the other. Big guy, eats little guy, slightly bigger guy, eats slightly smaller guy.

Every man, woman, and child fends for themselves.

If you offer temptation, someone is bound to come sniffing.

When did “Get Rich Quick” stop being tempting?

I wonder then, when did “get rich quick” stop being desireable? Does it make any sense that more than 50% of the people with Home Businesses haven’t yet made their first sale?

It’s weird. Everyone wants to get rich quick. It has to be easier to sell this “biz op” and “info” products about money-makin’.

See that guy over there? And that one?

Yeah. Those really big ones.

Don’t be scared.

You’re safe here.

That, my friend, is a parasite.

He feeds off people, by telling them…

…The Sham of the Split-Test.

Now, split-testing is alright, and i do lots of it. But i’ve been fortunate to work only with people like Mike Dillard, Ben Settle, David Schwind, and “Doberman Dan”…all guys who know how to make things that people want to buy.

Regardless of the exact method of marketing. Regardless of how good or poor the traffic sent to them is.

But i’ve also sent traffic to affiliate products from Clickbank or Neverblue. And the first thing I tested for was if i could get a sale within a couple hundred bucks of spending. There’s no point split-testing to “improve” response to something that isn’t naturally interesting to anyone.

How Parasites Feed

See, the thing about the split-test, is that some people use it as a scapegoat. A way to put the ball in the victim’s court. An excuse for why their instructions aren’t working as quickly or easily as they promise.

Here’s how parasites execute this:

They tell their victims,

“look at me, i know how to get rich quick. i’ll show you exactly how”.

Victims approach promptly.

The parasite rattles off some basic and intuitive instruction.

But, quickly. Quickly, rapidly, and ever so quietly…he whispers a tiny disclaimer: “you need to split-test and optimise till it works”.

Oh? That’s interesting. Hm doesn’t sound very quick if there’s some guess work in it. But anyway, look into the pit.

Look how the parasites pick up little fat guys and show-case them to the audience who gather around them.

What’s this?

A testimonial. The crowd of unknowing victims cheer.

The parasite beats his chest and he claims all the credit. Others flock to him.

Half Eaten, Betrayed.

Meanwhile, he kicks aside a little guy whose half eaten head dangles from his lifeless corpse. That’s what happens. This poor eaten soul is the one who believed in the split-test.

It’s what kept him coming back for more.

Split-testing is stupid.

Not all of it, of course. Split-testing something that works is smart.

But what makes a thing sell is its sheer temptation. The very things forbidden in many religions and frowned upon in many cultures. Those are the things that have to do with a person’s desire:

Food, power, sex, and money.

They also happen to be the easiest things to tempt another human with.

“Get Rich Quick” appeals to human temptation & should sell easily.

It’s really easy to figure out where the break down, why so many people haven’t made any or many sales yet. By understanding this, i hope we can together help fix it.

Suppose someone tempts a little guy to buy a “bizop” which is basically a money-making-idea. Apparently, the offer was good enough for the little guy to buy it…surely it would tempt another person, and another, and another. Assuming all things equal, of course.

So let’s move on. The problem is not the idea…it has intrinsic appeal to a human desire.

Let’s turn then, to the systems they’re using to sell these ideas. Most people starting out online are using affiliate systems, bizop systems, etc. Are they, perhaps, making the idea of “getting rich quick” less tempting?

It would seem, no.

Systems are sold as a solution for people starting out. It gives them a simple starting point that apparently makes “getting rich” something they can start doing “quick”. Is that tempting?

Yes. All the proof we need is that the system has sold at least one account.

So let’s move on. If the problem is neither with the idea nor with the system. What’s left?

The marketer. The little guy. Right?

The “little guy’s” short-coming? NO!

Many will be quick to blame the little guy because he didn’t stick it out long enough. Because he didn’t work hard. Because he just hadn’t bought enough courses to learn to market properly.

My question, as we look into that desperate PIT…my question to you is, why do billion dollar companies not have these elaborately tested and split-tested ad campaigns? Why do we let the parasites laugh and mock their ads while they sell us their useless “info” products?

Think about McDonalds…do they have some elaborate direct response campaign with carefully split-tested and crafted ads?

No. They sell with brand awareness. “Hey, by the way, we sell food here,” they say.

Countless millions of people around the world visit mcdonalds and are upsold into drinks, sauces, and fries without any major effort. Their agents are not expert salesmen and women either.

How come then, when the product of one business is a desire. And the product of the other is a desire, why must anyone “optimise” to make their first sale?

Friendship in the Pit

Is it because, maybe, the little guy’s “friendship” is not tempting?

I don’t know…

If i was starting out today, the idea of a helping hand, a friend to guide me in that pit below…honestly, it might be a mistake, but I would take my chances with that guy….just so i’m not alone.

Most people starting out are SCARED.

I expect they too will take the first offer of help from an honest looking face.

People who haven’t made a single sale in this business. They’re imitating that parasite down there. You see him feeding? Or that one there. Only the parasites feed.

The rest want to be someone they’re not. And many of them are unwittingly modeling deception—but unfortunately, they don’t do a good job of that either.

In fact, they model others so long, and talk the big talk they can’t back up…that …

…Their face just doesn’t look honest any more.

All the split-testing in the world can’t sell that.

Sigh.

Walk back with me. Back to the pit. Friend.

Promise me, you stay true to you. As long as you do, you will always meet many good companions who could use your gentle guidance.

Creating an Army of Customers

you wanna see “armies of customers”?

look at this:

maybe this is the person to learn from?
maybe this is the person to learn from?

those little dots going off into the horizon are PEOPLE, crammed together standing like sardines, watching Michael Jackson at his best in the Dangerous tour, 1992.

That’s power.

When i want to study marketing, i look at this guy. Dude. With all due respect to the internet sellers i’ve learned from, i think following only them gives one a very narrow outlook on business. actually, i’ve learned more from observing their mistakes than from listening to what they say.

in any case, i would say there are far richer, more successful, much better marketed businesses out there to learn from.

and Michael Jackson, “Inc” is such a business. I use the present tense, because the business lives on even with the man gone.

his business, sold “attention”

And, believe me, if the guy had one thing down to a science, it was his ability to get attention. His whole life was about it.

By serving up Entertainment, he had power. He got under the radar of people, messed with their emotions, and anchored himself to everything that’s going on in their lives. Love him or hate him, his news was always cause for attention. And it punctuates our memories.

Don’t you remember him in the Pepsi commercials, when he sang Bad? I do. It was in the early 90’s, i think. I was a kid and i went around singing “i’m bad, i’m bad” until my dad told me to stop, because i was “a good kid” and Michael was “a bad man”. You probably have your own memory of what was going on in your life at that time.

i also remember when the news came out that he’d died, i was at Radio Shak buying a HDMI cable in Austin, TX, shortly after having met with Perry Belcher and Ryan Deiss at their Austin headquarters with Mike Dillard.

I want that Super Power.

people paid big money for Michael to endorse their crap. he was better at getting attention than most of the businesses who used him.

So i thought i’m going to write and tell you what i’ve learned from watching Michael Jackson, the business.

I’ve linked to the specific video i took the snapshot from for your convenience: Michael Jackson Dangerous Tour 1992.

Watch as the fans scream before he makes an appearance. Some of them are already passing out and crying from the excitement, the anticipation. He builds it up, and still there is no sign of him.

When finally he appears, i don’t know what they call it…but it’s like a “hurraah”… you know? he jumps out of the ground. And the crowd goes absolutely BONKERS. He holds. and ever so precisely he times these jerking movements as he surveys his crowd. Then finally, he removes his shades and let’s them see his friendly eyes.

How could ANYONE believe this man was in the very process of selling to them?

If i could get people to watch and wait with anticipation for the first words to come out of my mouth….i would sell the bejezus of them. i mean, it is short-sighted, i agree. But WOW.

Don’t you want power like that?

I do!

That’s not all i learned though. As I watch successful businesses, one thing i have noticed is their focus on consistency. I think it’s because they get, like this, the recognition they need to keep growing without ever losing a person after they’ve reached them. Does that make sense?

Think of it like this…suppose you didn’t know me. And this was your first contact with me.

How can i make sure that you will always remember me?

Even if you unsubscribed from my blog and didn’t see me again for 4 years…what can i do to make sure that you will ALWAYS remember me?

Being consistent, yet unique, allows you to recognise me no matter when we reconnect. That’s what i strive to do. I think if i can make myself memorable to you, i will never have to pay for your audience again. I will never have to earn a “history” with you ever.

You’ll always be able to say, “hey i knew that guy back when he was doing this and that”.

or, “hey i got the first edition of that book, when it first came out!”

or, ” ohhhh! is that the guy with the xxxxx or the yyyy”

Recognition

Michael Jackson was BIG on recognition. I know not everyone liked the man…but anyone who knew of him, can tell you at least these things:

– the guy was a bit of a freak
– his most famous move was the “moon walk”
– he grabbed at his crotch an awful lot
– he wore that odd single white glove
– heeeeeeeeee-heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hoooooo owwwwwwww! *crotch grab* lol

right?

Tell me you don’t at least recognise these things. I bet if he came back from the dead, totally reincarnated as a budhist monk, he could still release a single tomorrow and get his peeps back.

word.

That’s all folks.

(need a moral to the story?

moral: get some new mentors, be unique, stay recognisable )

Information Overload Cured With MORE Information? Wtf.

So just like you, I’ve been bombarded with a bunch of bribe emails about Mike Dillard’s WWN (What’s Working Now) launch.

But rather than get all giddy “like a school girl” and accept these wonderful bribes…I got worried about you.

Get WWN Here SORRY this offer is no longer available! register to the right to get on the waiting list

Over the past few days, Mike Dillard’s done something no short of AMAZING. He went out and addressed the most common complaint I hear from Home Business owners: Information Overload.

His new course WWN is a solution to this information overload problem. And I am glad he’s doing that for the Home Business community.

But here’s what got me worried last night. It’s that a bunch of well-meaning affiliates of his were lumping every course they ever created as free bribes to get buyers through their links. And that’s a standard technique I guess in the industry…but i think it’s poorly thought out.

Correct me if I’m wrong…but for sure the last thing you need if you’re feeling overwhelmed with info, is a PILE MORE information. More courses would only agitate the problem.

That’s why when Ray & Ferny from SEONetworker approached me to help them create a cool bonus for WWN…that supported its goal…I was all for it.

So if you thought the guru bonuses was a bad idea too, how about this instead:

Me and Ray, Ferny, David, and Jimmy are going to put on an EPIC event for the industry in Vegas. Everyone who attends that event is going to come out of it with what is working right now for us and a small handful of our elite clients. It’s basically a WORKSHOP to implement and create a high converting personal, non-replicated funnel for each person. It’s a means of traffic for each person tailored to their budget and skill set. And basically all the traffic, leads, and customers everyone needs.

Best part is, you can get in the workshop completely FREE (that’s the bribe Ray & Ferny are offering, i’m just the goat-guy who goes along with things)

If you like that idea and agree that it’s a wayyyyy cooler bribe than everyone else, go read the details here. And to make sure you can get into our epic event free, buy WWN through the SEONetworker link.

Here are all the details:

Mooing Cows, Kansas UFOs, & the Possum Attack of Network Marketing Winner!

I think our live PPC event should have been sponsored by Redbull.

Because David and I were guzzling those things for 6 days straight. He came in on a delayed flight from another speaking event and it was non-stop from the second he walked in.

Neither of us got any more than 10 minutes of sleep a night as we planned, taught, and socialised with our students. In fact, in Kansas, I have to tell you there was never a day without some kind of weird and out of this world adventure. What with the possum that attacked one of our students (who was actually a well-known Network Marketing leader)…and the UFO David swears he witnessed out of my bedroom’s window…

All stories i’ll share with you in time.

But what I wanted to tell you about was this video we shot for you before we left Kansas to go work on our next big project.

We were sitting around a bon fire roasting marshmellows and smores in pitch black amongst the cow and buffalo. When we received an E-Mail from Mike Dillard announcing the release of MLM Traffic Formula 2.0. Which if we understand correctly is an overhaul of the original Traffic Formula course.

As we sat around the fire, each of us in turn told our war stories about the hardships we had in the industry and how our students are now filled with hope and success. And it brought back memories for the both of us, David and I.

Because, three years ago, we were in our own dark places of struggle and poverty. It was around then that a course called the MLM Traffic Formula first launched. We scrambled to buy our admission to the live calls. And later when I received the recordings I think I had listened to them maybe a million times. I swear i put the cds on loop for weeks on end falling asleep to them some nights, and driving around town on others with the voice of Mike and his experts blaring through my subwoofer around Sydney.

That course was the beginning for me. After going through it, I finally began to generate leads online and sponsor distributors. Which led to many good things. This year I already had a successfull $0.5 MILLION dollar launch, generated 1,000 leads a day and as many as 15,000 leads in a single month. Sold out a live event in 45 minutes flat, trained, and worked with the top distributors in the industry.

Now that MLM Traffic Formula 2 is coming out, I think it will be the beginning for you too.

Get Traffic Formula 2 Here when it goes on sale tomorrow.

Oh, by the way, I’ll be contributing all the training on Pay-Per-Click marketing in the updated version. So if you want to hear more about that from me, I promise I’ll pull out some of my best information to share with you there too.

My “PPC Domination” Debt

Today Magnetic Sponsoring gave the go-ahead to all their affiliates to begin promoting PPC Domination. That’s a brand spanking new course designed specifically for Network Marketers and Home Business owners to learn how to go from ZERO leads per day to over 150 leads using Google Adwords.

I’m writing with very sleepy eyes.

PPC Domination (How to Get 100s of MLM Leads Using Google Adwords)

Had I kept an organised blog back then, I may have even bored you with daily updates of the three agonizing months it took to produce the course. IN VIDEO.

But luckily, you’ve been spared.

Within the hours of video that make up the bulk of this course, I share how I have been producing my home business leads for the past two years.

When we launched the beta of this course back in November, I had no idea we would sell out so quick. And then I spent the next few weeks nervous waiting for some kind of feedback. None came for some time.

Little by little, trickles of our beta testers began to add me on Facebook and Twitter. Small “thank you” notes and mini-testimonials of their results in their add requests.

What truly humbled me was when Mike Dillard wrote in asking for their testimonials and results…MANY MANY people were so generous with their time. They responded. I literally saw FLOODS of reviews from our testers.

So I want to take this opportunity to thank you all. Everyone who beta tested the product and asked questions on our live calls. Everyone who sent in a testimonial or review, written or video, positive or negative. I am very happy to have helped serve you all!

Most of all, I want to thank my friends Mike Dillard and Tim Erway for their constructive criticisms, for coming up with the idea of this product, for helping me structure the material in a way that everyone can understand. And of course, for helping me reach you.

I’m also very grateful to Dr. Sane Yagi and Dr. Basma Yaghi who were actively involved with me in testing the content for understandability by newbies. They loaned me their lack of expertise and knowledge in Internet Marketing and PPC.  Sane helped me create examples and specific slides. Basma was my guinea pig;  before anyone else took the course, she took it. Then she used what she learned to begin a new career in CPA marketing.

Jim Fights Some PPC Demons (and 16 New Leads / day)

For this adventure, and over the following weeks I’m going to scale up my Pay Per Click campaign from the 150 leads a day it’s bringing now to 3 times that — 450 leads a day. This is a stepping stone toward the eventual goal of 1000!

Hi guys and girls!

My name is Jim Yaghi and you’re joining me on the second video of my coffee adventures.

For this adventure, and over the following weeks I’m going to scale up my Pay Per Click campaign from the 150 leads a day it’s bringing now to 3 times that — 450 leads a day. This is a stepping stone toward the eventual goal of 1000!

Last month I attended a live event in Las Vegas at the Venetian hotel called Inner Mastermind. If you’re into it, I shot some fun videos of my trip for that event. You can find them on my blog or Facebook.

Anyway, this month a product launched by the name of the Arbitrage Conspiracy which was a product of that event. In case you’ve been hibernating under a rock and you didn’t hear all the buzz, the story goes that three young fellas from Canada were consistently pulling in as much as 150,000 dollars PER day online using Pay Per Click. What was more interesting to me was that Aymen, the main speaker at the event told me that they spent between 50-100 thousand dollars a day on pay per click ads alone.

Naturally, when I was invited by my friend Mike Dillard to attend and represent Magnetic Sponsoring there, I jumped up. Within a few days I got on a plane and flew over from Jordan to Vegas!

There wasn’t a great deal of difference between what they were doing with CPA and what i was doing with home business opportunity leads using pay per click. I used Google Adwords and Yahoo they used Adwords and Yahoo. They also used MSN and some other smaller and less trafficked pay per click engines–which honestly i can’t be bothered with right now. I tried MSN before and their conversion tracking was making mistakes so I abandoned it.

Also, Aymen’s team were making customised landing pages for each keyword and placing a single keyword in each adgroup–and so was I.

None of their keyword research tools were new to me. They used the Google tool mainly, a few misspell and typo generators, word combiners, alexa, and so on–i was doing that already.

But i learned two very important lessons. One was the use of automation tools to build up massive keyword lists and upload them all in one shot. Obviously they didn’t filter these keywords too much becuase no one could do that to a list of 1 million words. Their strategy was to first sweep the market with these million keywords and find keyword types and themes that showed SOME results with low bids. And by tracking the keywords that worked, they would kill the ones that wouldn’t convert. And they would laser target their attack to improve their click rates, click costs, and conversion rates.

So as soon as I got home, I got to work.

I pulled up alexa and used its related sites feature to find domains in the network marketing and home business industry. A small list of about 50 domain names came out. I then used a typo and misspelling generator tool to turn that into a list of around 800,000 keywords.

Oh but Google’s quality score would shut me DOWN if i tried to upload those keywords to my account. Instead, i posted them to Yahoo becuase it’s less strict. Several hours and yahoo accounts later, i had the keywords all ready to go.

Ok, let’s pause for a minute. I’m in phase 1 right now. Remember the 3 challenges i have to go through? Impressions, clicks, and conversion.

Right now, I’m focused on phase 1 ONLY. Keywords that get impressions. That’s all i care about.

Well Yahoo gave me impressions–very few. In my experience, Yahoo has always been weaker than Google for the Home Business niche–maybe someone else has better luck with Yahoo than i do, i dont know.

Not to worry. What’s next?

Well, I’ve gotta take this stuff into Google where there’s lots of fish. Out of the 800,000 keywords, i had to choose! I sorted all the campaigns by impressions and took the top 4 keywords from each campaign.

Now I still worry about the Google Quality Score since i’m really not focusing on Click Thru Rate or conversions–i want to keep my landing page generic. So i figured i’ll place these keywords on the Google content network first. Again, that’s a much less strict place to advertise than is the Google search.

I ran this for a few days and lo-and-behold…not only did i get impressions and clicks, but i got a super high conversion rate!

Now i get about 16 new conversions from that little experiment. Not bad but i gotta get disciplined about repeating this a few more times.

Go try this out for yourselves and let me know how it works. Meanwhile, i’m gonna go fight my demons and report to you in a few days.

Take Care.
