how do i get offline clients

How do I get offline business clients without any money and without cold calling?

    Hi Bart,

    There are many strategies you can employ to score local clients, without resorting to cold calling:

    1. Networking groups
    2. Referrals from existing clients
    3. Inbound leads from website (my #2 method)
    4. Direct email
    5. A smarter version of direct email…using semi-custom or customized videos in each email. This is as late, my most productive method.

    hey Bart,

    id like to know what your product/business is. im guessing its an mlm type of business. i did this for a few years, tryin most of the things my upline told me without all that much success. i thought outside the box a little and made up questionaires. i put them in an envelope and distributed them to houses. they would then fill them out and post them back to my home address which made sure i was only dealing with qualified people as they had gone to the trouble of paying postage and sending back.

    if ya lemme know what kinda biz you have maybe we could brainstorm a little further :)

      I am not talking about mlm, I am talking about helping local businesses with getting more customers with my internet marketing skills.

    So you found your self asking this question. Step One Print out this page. Step two, Read this little story.

    As I was going through college I ran a PC repair and networking business part time. To pay for..what ever I felt like buying (some tuition, mostly fun.) All my clients came from word of mouth. At that time I had no idea about online marketing, but was an expert at using the internet, Go figure.

    The best way to get offline clients is to be Online with your ears and mouth. That is of course listen and respond. I got a client one day standing in line in a gas station by tell them I could do the PC repair they were talking to someone about and I did.

    Same with internet marketing. I received a client because someone mentioned they were setting up a plan and I started asking about it, turned out they were really looking for someone to assist them. (More recent then the college days.)

    So it is a simple matter of listening and speaking up then following through and asking for referrals.

      Thanks Richard, but I do not and cannot get out and about too much. I live in a remote area and it is transient as most folks vacation here.

    find a business you can do a little work for free to get some testimonials/referrals

    do the work up front, ie get a website for painters to a good position in google that is getting traffic and then sell the leads or the site to some painters :)
